Sidewinder Ski suggestions again

Some will laugh at my suggestion for skis, but here goes. Cat skis with 6-8 inch slim jims. You can find the skis cheap. And IMO are damn good if set up correctly. Need to be shimmed, suspension set for rider

I have these on my Viper and it steers perfectly. No darting and steers easily. I was going to buy the same set up for my SW but fell into the deal for the Simmons first.

Honestly surprised the SH^# out of me when I shimmed them(CAT SKIS) and ran them. I run 200 some studs in the 137 and figured they would push like crazy with 6 inch slim jims . I ride fairly hard, and love them on the winder

save up your money and buy curves with 6" shaper bars and 4" leading edge. no darting, no pushing, and easy steering. this set up rails corners without a doubt

I ran 6" Slim Jims and shimmed the skis on my Viper XTX. That was the best setup I have ever driven. Probably switch my Sidewinder over eventually.

I ran the exact same set up on my Viper LTX and it is the best set up I tried. Easy steering and no darting at all. That is what I will probably do to my SW also if these Simmons don't work out.

My buddy (who bled Blue for years) went to the T-Cat last year, and he swears the T-Cat skis are the best.
He's convinced me to try them on my SW this year.

Basic ski design IMO, agressive and will dart like a mofo....Why i hated them. So they need a dual type cat carbide or slimjim at min.....

Pilots cured all those issues.

On my cat skis I was going to run a set of regular duals. Why does everyone talk about the slim Jim's? Are they that much better being close together?

I have run the Curves with dullys on this chassis for 2 years now. I can tell you that everyone that has ridden my sled either already switched to the same set up or are switching this year. I hear people talking about heavy steering with this setup but my 65 YO mom struggled with this chassis for a few years. Now that she's running the Curves it's her favorite sled of all time. If it steers heavy with curves, you don't have it set up right.

So what is your set up. Studded, 4 or 6"slimJims, curves with curve rubbers also??

144 studs, singles, center only. 6in slim jims and curve rubbers. If you search my posts I have a thread with my full suspension set up as well. I'll probably tweak my settings this year for a little more transfer but overall this was the best handling machine I ever rode.

I think they work better because they are closer together and bite deeper. They don't seem to push like duallys.
