Sidewinder windshield

So the viper low will fit the sidewinder correct? Does anyone know of the part number for I think it was the 15 viper se came with a low white windshield thanks

Yamaha makes one for the sidewinder.

Did they just release these for the winders? I have my viper one which I had to trim the wings.

I believe it is FOR a viper. I've been told some viper WS have tabs that wrap behind the headlight and some don't. It's the ones that do which require creative tab mounting.

Is it exactly the same as the viper but a sidewinder version? Can you get it in white reason I wanted he viper was because nobody seems to have a wrap template for the sidewinder oem low windshield that comes stock
Also that's the extreme low not the low that I believe someone posted a couple pages back

Funny it's under the viper section yet it is clearly on a sidewinder in the picture.

Any pictures of mid shield smoke installed? My son has low sport smoke with blue and white, looks great on his blue/white Viper, with hand guards decent wind protection

looks similar to this (viper shield) but not exactly the same ...I had to trim the lower mount and reapply the black trim...see the far more open area under the wings on the one above

In my continuing search for the perfect windshield that combines aggressive styling with good protection, especially for my hands, I finally took delivery of the new sport mid. Unfortunately it doesn't provide any clearance for the ProCross hand guards, so heads up if you're considering this window.



Oddly enough the hand guards DO clear what Yamaha is now calling the Tall windshield.



I'm back to thinking that the ideal windshield (for me and with hand guards and gauntlets when it gets really cold) is what they're now calling the Low Sport, but I'd want gloss black, not the Plastidip job I did on the old Blue/White Viper version.



So for now I'm sticking with the stock SE shield until and if my buddy relieves me of the Medium Sport.

You wouldn't know the part number for that one? Looks awesome. I like the fact it deflects the wind on the side, where the windshield meets the hood. I don't see the point of the large gap I see on some other's.

I assumed you trimmed the bottom? How did you do this without making a mess? Does the black trim piece fold out, you trim and then cut the black trim to length and re-install?

How is clearance issues with hand guards and windshield. I have the exact same setup in Red on my Viper but it is an XTX with wide handlebars. I noticed the LTX have narrower handlebars. I thought maybe they would come close to hitting on the windshield.

The reason I am asking is because I am getting ready to pull the trigger on a 2018 LTX-LE.
