It's crazy the different configurations! Would think since almost identical they would be same across Yamaha and Cat. You bring up past year shields. Only Cat windshields that will screw to a Sidewinder or Viper are 7000 shields and among those if they have wings the wings will have to be modded. On Vipers that involved drilling a new hole in hood and twisting the wing. I have no idea if that will work on Sidewinder.

Yes. I will say this though. The pic they have in specs shows a different windshield and a regular headlight. Even Cat is confused!

I picked up the Yamaha catalog for 2017 from the Yamaha tent at epping grass drags,last weekend,and it shows a solid blue shield same as this one for same price,it don't look like it will accept mirrors,but if you don't need mirrors it loks nice for a mid height shield.
your link takes it to that model sled...it looks like one Im interested in but mine is a medium (on the 7 &9000 limited)
dont those from bolt holes look spaced back further though?
They surely are in the specs pic but headlight is wrong also. Probably back ordered anyway. Surest bet is the 7000 and Viper windshields with no wings. We know for sure they fit Sidewinder because it's been done already.
All 3 of these have exact same mounting pattern above the headlight.

OKAY! thanks for the pics. and post cannondale27 .......now its just a matter of where can I get that first one? 9000 xc. thinking that's the same as Thundercat shield? Might be shorter? Going to just try to get the thundercat one. Someone will have a new sled soon to compare

It looks shorter. Race hieght. Is a good chance TA will have the med 7000 shield in the style like that. That will work.

Thanks for the heads up and info. The 7000 Mid height in Black will be perfect. I had that sled . I will say that its not extremely warm when it dips down below zero. But otherwise its decent in protection and really good looking
