Ski-donts 2>4

They've been running that 2>4 ad campaign for at least 2 years now...maybe 3. For some reason I can't get that link to work right now. Maybe they're doing something new this year but I doubt it.

In all honesty, I feel they make some good points...as does Yamaha in their marketing campaigns.

Then again, I am a person who owns both a Doo 2 stroke and a Yamaha 4 stroke. What's better depends on personal preference and your application. They both have their pros & cons IMO.

I get to the start button, but won't play.

Guess they are rebuilding at this time.

I have friends that have the new 2 strokes, and they do well, but there is still the oil you have to add..........

I think it is funny that they have run that campaign for the last few years and then what did they do this year but come out with a four stroke sled - Ski Doo is just like a bad politician - it ain't no good unless THEY are doing it!

i couldnt agree more with you.theyve been bashing yamaha with their four stroke since they came out.now they are seeing people switching to four stroke more and more so theyre gonna try to compete.i wish them good luck.

Doo

Except for the new Ford Pres., What do you expect any company to say? We make inferior products, and the other guys product is much better?

No, but you don't have to be a hypocrite and bash something then turn around and embrace what it is you are bashing - reminds me alot of Bill Clinton - Ski Doo has an arrogance problem that (if they don't change their attitude) is going to bite them in the as* - a year or two ago, Ski Doo would have been my second choice in sleds - now they are my last - this winter when the F1000 starts kicking the sh*t out of the Mach"s, there will be alot more Ski Doo boys jumping ship! Yes that is so true! Artic Cat and now Ski-Doo both are making four strokes now. All the naysayers of the last 3 years are getting fed the black bird all the time now. Imitation is the greatest form of flattery enough said and enjoy the crow. :4STroke:

Maybe I'm missing something but Cat has been building four stroke sleds longer than Yami. Offered the first park style four stroke sled along with Polaris. Offered the first turbo four stroke sled. Now this year is offering two choices in a fourstroke.

SKI-Doo has had a 4 stroke for years. This is not the first year they have offered a four stoke sled either. Doo is commited to making emmisions compliant two strokes. The four stroke they offer is a park model to compete in the national parks where Cat and Polaris have taken hold. IE park rental sleds. They are not building a fourstroke to challenge Yami. They are doing that with thier two strokes.

DOO's add leaves out the expensive oil that the sled burns but points out the dealer oil changes once a year as an expensive thing to do. Most Yami guys change thier own oil but all Ski-Doo's must burn thiers at 50 bucks a gallon. Its all just maketing and proves that Yami is making a name for themselves.

In two years I've used 3 gallons of oil and 3 filters in 6,000 miles. About the cost of one gallon and a half of Doo oil. I wonder how many gallons of oil the Doo used in the same miles?

I think the issue here is performance four stroke. The 660 is in no way a performance sled. Neither was the Doo in any shape or form. Just like there were four stroke dirtbikes before Yamaha broke the market with their first PERFORMANCE bike.
