Anyone install sled start hid kit on there viper and did you have problems putting the retainer ring in

Yes i have the sled start kit installed, I ended up cutting notches in the headlight housing to clear the 3 tiny screws which where preventing the bulb from seating all the way. Once I did that, you can put the retaining ring on with your fingers.

That's #*$&@ should just drop in I bought this kit for that reason it was expensive and is a PITA to install defently wouldn't recommend
Do you have any pics of where you trimmed and did you take the whole the whole hood apart to do it

Ya I had the headlight housing on the work bench. I'v had these bulbs for years, I took them out of my apex which they fit great in. I was surprised what a pain they were in the viper but it is a nice kit. Sorry I don't have any pics.
I have the HID kit from Yamaheater (supporting vendor here) and the retainers fit just fine.

011110 did you remove the protective metal piece Around the bulb
I found a different set of instructions on there site say to remove them and don't use them Are those the screws that we're getting in the way

I ended up bending the retainer ring a bit and then it went back in.
Held pretty good imo.

I used the Rox kit and it installed without having to remove anything!

I did remove the bulb cover because I was getting a weird light pattern but I still needed the Screws in as it held the h4 mount to the bulb. Maybe because I have a old hid kit.011110 did you remove the protective metal piece Around the bulb
