Hi guys. I was out riding this weekend in 3'+ snow. I was disappointed in my sled. I put a 1.75 backcountry on it because last year it wouldn't get on top of the snow with the factory 1.25 ripsaw. This year same thing. I know everybody is going to say that's to much snow and sled to heavy. A 121 Shidon't tnt 600 with 1.5 track could do it. Any suggestions? Right now rear suspension front shock spring is cranked up and limiter straps as long as they can go. Need a clutch kit? Sorry I forgot to say I have a xtx 141" track.

They're a little tough to get to plane out but they will. Once you get it up to around 50 mph. Things start to float. I'm pretty heavy so if you're a lighter rider I'd expect that number to drop some. I'm set up similar to sj's suspension settings that are on this form.

Some things you can do is carve some to help build up some speed and get on top or ride back over a previous track to build up a bit of speed. Don't expect to float at 25 mph though.

I put mountain skis on. 6.9 pilots to help spread out the weight and A arm skids. I do a lot of ditch riding in Iowa and it helped me out a lot. just a thought?

What is required for the 6.9 swap??

I've got nytro mtx skiis on now. The front end is up. The sled is trenching like mad. In the trails I ride 50mph is impossible! If I get on a trail and get some speed up I'm ok, problem is usually we're breaking trail in chest deep powder.

Your answer is in the last line of your 1st post. Take the preload out of that center shock and pull hype limiters tighter. You're trenching because your skid is down in the front AOA (angle of attack) needs to be flatter. My Attak was pretty good offtral with the limiter was pulled all the way tight. AOA was around 20 deg. It now has an ExpertX 136 setback to 144. AOA is 13deg. Planes out real fast with a 1.5 Crossover. It'll be even better with 1.75 Backcountry :jump: :jump:

Awesome. Thank you! I knew I wasn't set up right. Never rode in stuff this deep till last year! Sled works great on trails, but the nongroomed trails I've been riding are crazy deep. I'll set up like you said.
