I have a 2011 SE and it is slower than my wifes 07 GT and sons 12 Vector. 07 is bone stock an Vector has ulmer air box and clutching. We all weigh the same all sleds have 5000 miles and the SE has 9700 miles. It has always flat slower than my old apex and has always slower than the 07 . I have installed a pc5, ulmer air box, ulmer clutching, Geared down 1tooth, the cracked exup assembly and donuts were just replaced and the exup was adjusted. yesterday 96mph vector 102 and walking away from me. Sled revs 10500 but feels lazy and doesnt scream like the 07. Pretty pissed at the poor top end. I have seen my buddy's same sled run down turbo cats at well over 110 mph. Clutching, pc5, and rest of sled are top notch but I am wondering about tight valves be the knock sensor pulling timing back. Have tried all types of premium and regular and it's always slow. I broke it in hard just like all of my sleds and this one has always been slow. Anyone have similar issues?

I bet your Exup is out of adjustment. My dad's 12 has quite a bit more power than my 07 RTX.

Exup is brand new and adjusted correctly. It was bone stock until 2000 miles ago when after reading on TY that the PC5, air box mod, clutching, and gearing would wake it up. I was wrong it is still asleep. Maybe got some more bottom end but still no top end.
Has anyone checked the valves in these motors prior to the valve adjustment and found them all out of spec? I am wondering if the valves are tight which would cause it to be down on power but it has always been slow. I also am suspect of the Knock sensor malfunctioning and retarding the timing.
Any inputs would be great. I have been through everything clutch setting, throttle body sync, CO adjustment, PC5 on and off, different maps, changed plugs, and there have been no fault codes.

Mine was slow too, I did the air box mod and the PC5 and some clutch work, I also had to adjust the Valve... its better since I did all that ... I think the Air Box Mod helped the most.

Tom the "valve" you are referring to is the EXUP or the actual intake/exhaust valves? If it is the EXUP i have checked and adjusted it countless times.
This sled has been slow from day one. I always hoped it would loosen up but it never did.
Thanks

I'M having the same issue this season. My stock SE has never had a problem getting up over 110 plus mph. Best I saw this year was 105 and that only happened once. I noticed that the exhaust was getting very hot after a WOT run so I added a pc5 and did the air box mod. PC5 is doing it's job as the exhaust isn't running hot after a wide open run. Still not running as fast as it should. Now I guess I need to check the exup adjustment and clutch bushings for wear. Only other thing that has changed this year is the addition of the new dupont sliders. Maybe the new slides are scrubbing off speed? I lost a solid 10 mph, where did it go?

Anyone here tried cleaning the clutches? Or looking for worn parts?

I just had my secondary bushings changed and clutches cleaned and EXUP adjusted...I only see 10,300 for top RPM but my buddy's XTX is clearly faster on top end.... If I could get my RPMs to 10,700 I think it could be a better result

Here is the Air Box Mod:

Also if you are not pulling your RPMs you need to lighten the tip weight.
