Ok my name lets ya all know im a cripple so I cant do much besides sit forward or back. I have roetin hornets on my xtx with ulmers turbo and I just can not hook up at all! I have rode sleds with the same track and the same studs and hook up with zero spinningl I am so sick of loosing to everything because I just cant hook up. I came from my mach z 1000 and could get this to hook up amazing. I just dont know what to do. So will some one please help. I am guessing it has to do with my suspension set up? I am going to try a couple things but if I cant get this I am going back to ski doo because I am 150 with my gear after my accident I lost alot of muscle mass so really this kind of helps if I could just hook up. So i need some help

Increase weight transfer with the transfer rods.

Transfer rods are max transfer. Springs str on soft. The only other thing I was thing is mess with the center shock and the linter straps? Does yamaha have race springs for the shocks and the regular springs like ski doo has. I dnt really care about trail riding just drag racing

if you let our front limiters out you will get more transfer. you'll allow the skid to pivot into the rear of the tunnel more and get more ski lift which will transfer more weight into the skid.

So I went to adjust my suspension and every things already the way I was going to set it at. Im really upset because I was hoping I could get this thing to hook like my mach z with out having to send the suspension away. I just dont get it? I must just not have enough lead in my #*$&@ or what. Any suggestions as to who I should call for suspension? I live in upstate ny so if any ones near by that any one would recommend for yamaha it would be great. Thanks in advance

Yamaha skids when compared to other brands have ALWAYS lacked transfer. I would give Hygear a call to see if they can help. It sounds like you have everything set correctly with exception of lengthening your limiter straps. I would definetely try that before spending the money on the skid. Longer studs would have helped as well. I ran 1.5" Hornets in a 1" hacksaw track in my 07 RTX Turbo and it hooked an booked.

You need to run Top Gun 1.50's or Woody's 1.450. That length anyways. 1.325 or 1.375 does nothing for a 1.25 track. You have the wrong studs in it....

I went ahead and bought the next size up hornets. I just figured the xtx being a long track the studs I have now would have been perfect. I had the same 1.25 track on my mach and have other friends with the same studs and track which are ski doos and cats and they really hook up like chisels. No joke just hook and book! I got the hornet 1520's. To me hornets are the only way to go as far as racing on glare ice with trail studs. I have yet to see a stud compare to the roetins for racing. I will have them monday and will be putting them in. Have races next weekend so time will tell. Thanks for every ones info and I hope these studs dont hit. I know they fit on other sleds but I have a custom tunnel dump exhaust so I am kind of nervous. I was actually thinking if the clearance is to close has any one tried using after market drop brackets I see for mountains sleds?? I am guessing the track have extended drop brackets would have to give more space between the trrack and the tunnel?? I know it doesnt matter because yes when the track hits the tunnel protecters it doesnt matter its the same but maybe the track woudlnt hit them?? IDK just a thought I guess
Make sure torsions are on soft and comp clicker is on soft too, I assume it is. Weaker torsions may help but have no idea where to find something like that. Gotta get it to compress alot on holeshot. The longer studs will help quite a bit too.
