Srx-700 to a 4-stroke

160 km on stock tank. Trail tank not sure but I think k at least 200 km. If I'm not mistaken

Apex guys will have to chime in on that. Look in apex forum under faq
Fuel mileage should be there.

My buddy and his wife run apex. There nice but heavy. To heavy. Iv seen them get stuck on the lake after sitting for a bit. And there heavily studded. More my buddy's wife then him but it seems like after we stop for a break there's a fifty fifty shot someone going to have to help here to get going again . She is really small though

That's why I'm going nitro. I'd take quick out of the whole and agile over quick on the lake and heavy

If you are serious about buying it you should go to the FX Nytro section and start reading. There is a ton of good info specifically about them. Word to the wise. They tried to make the Nytro light so they put a small (28liter) fuel tank on them!. The only reason I mentioned the longer track, was because that was my preference. I had a 121" RTX and later modded it to a 136". You will love the arm pulling acceleration! As far as the shocks, I agree that the air ones aren't the best ride quality but you can have a ton of fun on a stock Nytro. Good luck!

Thanks. I will mod the tank if possible . We take some long trips without gas stops so more gas will be needed.

a stock nitro will typically run further than an srx/viper in the same conditions if you are not blipping the throttle all the time. if you are heavy on the throttle, it usually shortens the fuel range to match the sx viper. i have done a bunch of riding in the up with them both on the same run and the nitro/ sx viper where usually about 15-20 miles less range on the same run as the apex's.

Good to know .thanks. need to get some sort of emergency tank I can strap on my machine. Just to be safe. Last time I ran out I did have an opportunity to fill up mid ride but foolishly passed.oops

My buddy used to have a 2008 Nytro RTX SE that he stretched to 136 x 1.5” lug. He added an Excell exhaust and Ulmer clutching. From zero to 90 it was really quick and it seemed to take the bumps really well. If my memory recalls he also had C & A skis on it. That model had the GYTR piggy back gas shocks. He still brings it up how he liked that sled.

I had also spent some time on that sled of his and when the Yam/Cat version of the Viper came out at first we thought this will be great. After we both test rode the Vipers we were both disappointed being it had the same Nytro based engine it felt so much flatter in performance. Between the A/C ignition and front exhaust they just don’t have the seat of the pants grunt. I do feel the Viper corners better though.

Thanks for input. I'm convinced. I'm soon to be a nytro man
. Not sure if I will sell my srx though that machine is a beast
