FREAKIN' AWESOME! I put my skid back in today after installing this starsuspension kit and the transition is awesome. It has a bit more front to rear transfer, but it's totally worth it. This kit adds at least 2-3 inces of travel. It's a whole new sled. I'm excited for this season!

Mine goes in this weekend....

Going to install my skid into the sled ASAP, i'm really hoping to see all that annoying 4-5" of sag GONE FOR GOOD.

on the grass haha

I installed this kit over the summer took it to hygear to get some custom axis for it. Picked it up and here's what Russ told me, he doesn't like the front arm linkage elimination the stock set up works as a rising rate Star doesn't work that way, the rear doesn't change the geometry at all its just full transfer at all time but he likes set up/idea of it. Im not saying it doesn't work nore did I get a chance to ride it yet just letting everyone know what I was told. Need snow so I can test it and give more details.

Took a sick day and installed my kit today. Going to start getting cold next week, just waiting patiently for snow.

I agree with this statement. That is why a re-valve with this kit is recommended. I had my shock guy re-valve my shocks to be progressive and am happy with the full rate of travel. I will need some snow to fully test it. The stock trasnsfer shafts on the Nytro are a JOKE. They are WAY too heavy and allow for all the "sag" people are talking about. I would like to replace those shafts all together, but am happy for now.

On the grass is right. I had to break in my new slides. ;)!

I cant really see how it will help, but I have no time on with the kit installed. But I can say that it moves the rear idler back about 1" closer to the tip up point which should help with the excessive wear at that point (in theory).

Speaking of slides....... Does anyone know if this kit helps with slide wear at all?[/quote

Bigger wheels work...but you probably know that. Like Beenba said maybe at the tip up. People around here are also putting on phaser slides with some success although I think they are just thinner slides.

The front linkage elimination I can't speak for and don't understand what Star tried to improve there, but elimination of the significant friction created in the rear torque arm has got be a a huge improvement as I know even with the Hygear revalve my body suffered in stutters. This is all due to friction in rear arm and even Ross said that himself when testing the XTX skid. Ross, would charge thousand bucks for the same kit as star.

Those are all the exact same thoughts I had. At high speed, I felt it lacked reaction, regardless spring settings, worse on high settings. I played and played with it for 6000mi and was wondering if someone would make something so I didn't have to make my own out of junk polaris parts. then, boom, they had it. IAlthough it is a simple kit, people would spend way more. I bought it while its cheap. I was going to not hold off to modify the front shock, it seems to me that if everyone already has their springs maxed, a shorter stroke will only weaken it. after calling them, he talked me into doing it all at once. he said although it needs alot of preload, the longer stroke was too stiff a progression. I like to be really in tune with the machine and generally only do 1 thing at a time, to see results. If I need to, I kept the stock stuff and would put the front back stock to see results. there is no coupling in this setup, so it will be different anyways. he says track tension needs to be in specs {tight}. and that helps couple. Even with the springs on low, it comes right back up now. . also I had added mach 9's axle/wheels at the tip up, but the scissor needs that erea now.
