Hey all,
So I took a trail pass off my windshield, then use goof off to get rid of the white sticker residue which I regret painfully.
It smeared all over the windshield. I've researched WD-40 methods, fingernail polish remover using a rubber blade to scrap it off to no avail or at least not getting it better.
Any methods I'm overlooking? Its the orange windshield and I also can't find where a guy would buy a new one of them online.
Thanks!

I’ve used windex in the past. Spray a lot on and let it soak. Take a flat razor blade and carefully scrape it off. Comes off nice and easy and no mess.

Usually 91% iso alcohol is always your best and safest bet for any graphic..If tough, soak several layers of paper towel and let it lay on there awhile.
Windows are the worst though, easily damaged.

My Ontario, Canada pass destroyed my window as the adhesive spread out 50% larger than the sticker itself when using chemicals to remove the remnants. Dealer took pics to share with the state of WI so they understand what a problem some of these trail pass stickers can be.

As a dealer we run into this all the time. Best thing we have used is heat, duct tape and Plexas Spray polish. We can get the passes and stickers off the windshields with no scratches 98% of the time.
1) Heat with heat gun or hair drier till warm.
2) slowly pull off pass or decal.
3) use good strong duct tape and blot this area fast, sticky part of tape on window. I like to make a backwards roll around my hand. this should lift off most of the glue residue.
4) use Plexas spray polish to remove any glue residue left. I use a Healthy dose in this area and let sit for a few minutes. I agitate with fingers ( not finger nails). Then wipe clean with a microfiber towel.
This Spray polish does not seem to have any harsh chemicals in it that would dull or scratch the surface area.
Plexas Spray polish works wonders on just about the entire sled for cleaning and polishing. It’s not cheap $20-$25.00 per can but us a must in our shop.

Most brake cleaners will destroy a windshield. I would not recommend.

Winner, winner, chicken dinner.
Hair dryer and duct tape. All you need.
I agree, Plexus is the bomb. Good thing a little goes a long way.

Have had good luck with Goo Gone and a little patience rubbing it off with a soft cloth.
Goof Off is basically the same as raw Xylene like you can buy in the white and yellow Sunnyside can at the hardware store.....too harsh, ,made to remove solvent based epoxy paints. We buy that in bulk at my work.
