Do you know if the ripsaw 1.5 and storm 1.5 have quiet bumps on the inside of the tracks?I had the storm 150 for 5k miles. the first 2k were stock. Great track, great loose snow traction, a little louder @40-70 mph. The next 300 miles were tuned to 270. I immediately noticed the lugs starting to fold back little by little. I ripped a couple of lugs. The track stretched to near the limit of the adjusters. Still performed but the HP seemed to be taking its toll. I returned the stock ripsaw 1.25 back to service this year. I do miss the Storms ability to move loose snow over the 1.25 ripsaw.
If I buy another track for this sled I think it will be the 1.5 ripsaw 2. I think the ripsaw is probably the toughest track for these tuned sleds.

I ran the storm 150 for 2 years now and i have to say its an amazing track good traction still pulls ok on top, if your not planning on doing ice drags give Patric a call and install 192 IGRIPS they work, the only negative thing i have to say is it howls between 30-45 mph but that doesn't bother me and you probably will never go that slow to hear it, LOL.Definitely going with the storm 2 ply 1.5 when I do the track change

My bud used to run the ice Cobra 1.6, had no clearance issues. What are you going to next? I was going to do the Hurricane Track but not sure if it will fit under the SRX.

I know on the other winders its not a problem but I thought there are clearance issues with a SRX?

Only 2800 miles had an extremely bad year 2 canceled trips late start with all the trees down on the trails but with 2800 miles the track looks brand new, only had to tighten it twice. How many miles on it?

I put the 1.25 ice attack xt on his as the Cobra belts started coming apart at 8000kms. I debated trying the ice storm, maybe I made the wrong choice, but he does like the ice attack so far.I have also put in a 1.75 back country in a 2017 winder with no issues and your right it has the same drivers so I don't understand why I heard there could be a problem..i read it someplace on the site..LOL

Just 192 IGRIPS no other studs, it holds its own on the ice and you can corner with confidence but it doesn't have the traction traditional studs have, it will spin but for groomed trails this thing is amazingGood to hear!!!! Are you just running grips or studs also?

@MrSled I am just running 1.575 gold diggers 144 inside and out pattern. The outside getting the better penetration in this case where the lugs are tapered down.
I tried that setup these past 2 seasons to get a better feel for the track itself overall. I had adequate traction on icey corners and lakes to get moving. Allowed me to get a good feel for the noticeable traction increases on looser mealy trails on the weekends. I'm very happy with the better launch and grab I got in those situations with the slightly taller lugs and the scoop design.
This offseason I'm considering the swap over to some 1.8x trigger studs for better lake racing/holeshot grab. Still debating though as the added maintenance of checking studs constantly may outweigh the few times I feel the need to race anyone. Short of another heavily boosted sled theres still nothing in our group of riders that can keep up with the winders in our group regardless of track and stud patterns used.
Theres no doubt in my mind the stock 1.25 track with 192 1.630 studs I ran for the first season would walk all over this storm on a hard packed snow footrace. The overall rounded benefit this storm 150 track has given me far outweighs the hole shot ability I gave up in order to do better in looser snow. Which I see far more often on my trails then good rockhard packed snow these past handful of seasons in NY.

Isn’t the ice attack xt 1 ply, any issues running a 1 ply track on a sidewinder?I put the 1.25 ice attack xt on his as the Cobra belts started coming apart at 8000kms. I debated trying the ice storm, maybe I made the wrong choice, but he does like the ice attack so far.
