Storm 150 Track Reviews

MrSled I have about 3000 miles on mine now, 2 seasons. 2017 LTX LE TD tuned and studded day 1 from the install of the storm 150 track. Mine is showing zero signs or premature wear or failure.
I absolutely love the track in comparison to the stock 1.25 ripsaw I ran the first 2 season (3000 miles). As expected much better in loose snow and breaking trail/minor off trail excursions. Being tuned I havent noticed any loss in top speed. I have switched over to 24/50 gearing from the stock 21/41 since last season. I can max out the gearing with ease with the track.
Assuming I were to have the same luck I will use this track going forward on all my sleds in the future. I'm 90% on trail in NY/NH. With a fair bit of shoulder and road side trail riding included in these trail systems as well.

What Stud length? I am looking at pulling my stock 1" track on my 2020 SRX and going this route. Thank you.

I have 4,000 miles on my Ice Storm 150 with the last 2,400 running TD Stock Muffler tunes. Absolutely love the track and the hook up. Track looks like new with no signs or any tearing or missing lugs. I do not intend to go back to studding a track any more after having this track on my '19 sidewinder ltx since day 1. Absolutely love this track. I do 100% on trails in in northern wisconsin.

I have approximately 1,300 miles on mine ( viper) and showing no wear and traction is awsume. The only thing it doesn’t slide around the corners as good as the 1.25 stock track and this the ice storm. Granted I have a lot less horsepower than the winder

I switched to the storm this year and was really happy with it. I did 144 - 1860 triggers with just the protectors in the rear. I did the STM protectors first, but they leave very little clearance and rub with any speed. I lost about 400 RPM with the STM protectors in. I put on just over 1k miles this year and track looks new. No marks on front cooler or tunnel. I check track tension all the time just to be sure. It does hook a lot better for sure. I was going to stud the outside and see if I could keep my handling, but ran out of trips. I plan to do that for first trip next year. FYI - I only bent 2 triggers and they also look great. We ran in a fair amount of low snow conditions and roads as well this year.

I had the storm 150 for 5k miles. the first 2k were stock. Great track, great loose snow traction, a little louder @40-70 mph. The next 300 miles were tuned to 270. I immediately noticed the lugs starting to fold back little by little. I ripped a couple of lugs. The track stretched to near the limit of the adjusters. Still performed but the HP seemed to be taking its toll. I returned the stock ripsaw 1.25 back to service this year. I do miss the Storms ability to move loose snow over the 1.25 ripsaw.
If I buy another track for this sled I think it will be the 1.5 ripsaw 2. I think the ripsaw is probably the toughest track for these tuned sleds.

Following. My Backcountry 1.75 is starting to throw paddles nearing 8000 miles.
I will be replacing my track this summer.

Ice version? or standard? I heard that happening on the ice version because its a single ply but the non ice version was a 2 ply and was stronger.

Looking for a 1.5 paddle two ply track. Planning on studding it. Not sure on which one yet.

Standard. 2 studs in each bar up the middle for the duration. I liked it, but the tune took its toll on it.

I installed the 2 ply and installed igrips on my 20 tcat. A quick look showed some delamination. I only have 2400 miles. Ive yet to pull it out of the trailer as im hoping for another day ride. I will get pics and see what Casso says.
My buddy has a 19 tcat with the single ply ice cobra and his is missing lugs. I had heard issues last season but really hoped the 2 ply would be good. It’s certainly better but still not perfect. Likely a couple of weeks before i get pics and with the national lock down much later before i get an answer for warranty.
Otherwise i love the track
