OK, I know of the tool that you can attach to a drill and sharpen the tips, but I am looking for the one that will attach to a drill, hold the stud by the head and spin the stud so you can place it against a bench grinder and get them razor sharp. Does this stud holding tool exist or just something that the old timers hand made when i was growing up.

You don't need to hold it in a drill... try vise grips. No point in spinning the thing fast when the bench grinder is already spinning.

If you can spin the stud with a drill, you will get a more uniform sharpened tip. The tool basically holds the stud like a screw on the end of a bit and spins it, then you place it against the grinding wheel at whatever angle you desire. Works Slick as $hit! Need to find one!!!!!!
