I just got an Attak and am gonna stud it. What is the biggest I can put in there? Also Am I gonna have problems with a loose and rattling heat shield like my old RX-1? I ended out tearing that P.O.S. out as it drove me crazy which wasn't a far trip anyways.

Rich is right on with the stud sizing and as far as the heat shields go they removed them on the 05 sleds and I don't think they would have put any new ones onto the 06 so that should be a thing of the past. Have fun with the new ride!

Not to beat a dead horse, but another stud question:
Redtip powerstuds 1.40 inch studs actually measure 1.72 total height. This is from the bottom of the base to the tip of the stud point.
With that in mind, the track thickness is .25 and the lug is 1.25, am I correct in figuring the stud will be .22 over the tip of the stud? And, most importantly, will I have enough clearance? How much higher than the lug can the studs be?
I am getting mixed answers to these questions. Hmmmm......the plot thickens...
Thanks again, HH

short answer is those will work and will give you 1/4" past your lug.but if you havent bought them yet i would stay away from them(redtip brand).
