Was trying to get the charger home on pump gas and not sure exactly what went but I am thinking I blew the head gasket.
So here is the deal... would this be normal thing... it turn off really quick and oil was dripping. Like the key was turned off. No other sounds other the super charger spooling down. If the gasket is the problem, can I do a 3 layer gasket and keep the boost at 10 -12 and still run pump gas or 93 octane??
Also best place to get the gasket from??
Not all that up on chargers or turbos. Also I wanted to see about a blow off valve and a variable adjustable boost controller... anyone try this on a Super Charger??

Definitely go for the blow off valve, Vortec from Jennetty, Gaskets you can get from port parts, jennetty, powderlites, Hurricane, Ulmer, almost any of the vendors
3 stacked gaskets, Retourqe the head to teds specs. and run 10 lbs on pump 93 min. with no problems.
Can't use a boost controller on Super Charger, No wastegate to control, I have heard of others using a dump valve, to blow off boost but not sure how that all works. someone will have more to add about this I am sure.
#1- where was oil coming from??
#2- I would do a leak down test and or start the tear down to see if it is a gasket or piston, or rod, etc.
good luck

SC cannot spool down after engine is shut down its connected to the engine, the sound you heard was something else. Engine stops = SC stops.

Also is sounds like you lost oil pressure and the sled has a shut down for that. Where is it dripping oil? With a blow head gasket they still run, just not good.

We do not reccomend a head shim. We do offer a bypass valve/bov for our kits now. If you have any questions on the head gasket issue or the bov/by pass please call me at MPI 888-649-4609 ext 121, Thanks Skyler

Well guys I just wanted everyone to know that this is my own fault. I was trying to get the sled home on pump gas running to much boost to hot and holding the throttle too long.... I should have known better. I am going to definatly run a electronic boost controller to help with my own stupidity ...LOL. And thanks MPI for the great service and quick repsonse. I will be in touch!!

How do you control the boost on a SC? Set up the pullies for 15 psi and bleed off the excess if you want to run just 10?

Sorry about your mishap MrSled.
Have you checked compression yet or a done a leak down? I hope your engine is not hurt too bad.
