Yea. If you think of this BEFORE you pull the spider nut and green lock tight the thunder nut . Think big #*$&@ breaker bar, torch and a few beers?. Rookie mistake. That's why I was wondering where guys are measuring from. If someone had the offset nutted and then measured like we do for sidewinders?Couldnt you just install factory cover and use cat alignment tool then reinstall 911 cover. The cover wont change the distance from fixed sheave on primary to outside sheave on secondary. If your aligned this way it seems to me youll still be aligned good when you swap covers. The cover only allows you to get moveable sheave closer to belt.

this isnt for belt alighnment this is for belt deflectionThere is no alignment bar or published offset spec for the adapt primary. Per the cat manual you lift rear of sled and spin track and let coast to a stop. Shut off engine and apply park brake. Start sled and if belt does not squeal alignment is good. If there is a squeal you add or subract shims between sheaves of secondary clutch to eliminate squeal. When this is done correctly there should be about .010 between belt and fixed sheave of primary.

Where are you measuring your off set from.... back of primary to the machined surface of outside secondary? reason is there are several methods of measurements.... some measure from inner primary sheave at the peek of machined belt surface to the inside of outer machined sheave of secondary at the peek. the reason for this is that it eliminates the different sheave thickness's of any clutch because your actually measuring where belt runs.. i would love for you to tell me what that is for the team clutches. then this can apply to any clutch combo as long as the diameter is the same and belt being used is same width. much appreiciated.I believe the offset should be 62.5. Mine was off until I fixed the stub shaft. I originally measured at 66mm and my clutches were hot. After the stub shaft fix, I got it to 63 and no more heat and no more dust. Stock clutches on my 2020tcat

No, Belt deflection is automatic and non-adjustable.. This is the belt alignment procedure for the arctic cat models with adapt clutch, directly from the Arctic cat service manual.this isnt for belt alighnment this is for belt deflection

Ya, it was last season and I have since sold the sled, so I am NOT 100%, but for the TEAM Clutches, I think it was from the back of primary to the machined surface of the outside of the secondary! Not that it matters based on how I measured but I used the stock Cat belt. I dont use the alignment bar as it did not make sense of how they came up with their dimensions, so I got the dimensions from someone else (Reliable Tuner and a TY Guy) and he told me what the specs would be measuring it like that. I can say it worked and my temps went way down and belt dust was almost gone. I think I could have gotten perfect if I would have ensured the stub shaft was pressed exactly back into the housing and then green bearing compound. I just remembering hitting once, but I am not sure if it was exactly where it was supposed to be in the inner bearing and I believe it was the reason I could not hit the exact 62.5mm, but I got it pretty close. There is a 2mm tolerance I believe, but I am anal! Hope this helps...Where are you measuring your off set from.... back of primary to the machined surface of outside secondary? reason is there are several methods of measurements.... some measure from inner primary sheave at the peek of machined belt surface to the inside of outer machined sheave of secondary at the peek. the reason for this is that it eliminates the different sheave thickness's of any clutch because your actually measuring where belt runs.. i would love for you to tell me what that is for the team clutches. then this can apply to any clutch combo as long as the diameter is the same and belt being used is same width. much appreiciated.

In years past I thought Cat measured from outside sheave of secondary(machined edge) to INSIDE edge of inner primary sheave. So where the actual belt sits against the inner primary sheave so to speak.
So I was going with the 1.53" measured like the above?? Not sure its correct but I cant use the CAT offset tool with a 911 cover on the Team primary.. The whole spider nut gets swapped and obviously different cover.

I thing you're right on. All I know is the Cat offset gage with the red 1.530" plug takes into account wherever the stub is in the housing, meaning if the stub is a little out or in, the Cat gage will work to get the offset correct since the red plug sits into the recess in the stationery side. It has worked for me for the last 4 years. Belt life very good - little belt dust, no catastrophic failures. 300+ HP and lots of long studs.I could be WRONG on this.. Above ?????????

Any chance you have a universal/ adjustable offset bar? I have one here I used for years on Cat stuff and measured just as I posted. Wondering what your measurement is on YOUR sled? That was my hope that someone could measure after they are dead on with the normal bar and red plug.I thing you're right on.
