If its the stub shaft/harmonics, then it sounds like there is NO FIX for belt life.
I can see alot of people moving on to other brands if this is the case, and a real belt fix is not found.
Really sucks, cause everything else about this sled I really like, mos stuff we can re-engineer or fix, but poor belt life seems to be the one thing noone has a true cure for. Its just no fun if we have to "keep tabs on our thumb".
As my bud has said many times, He would rather run a little 600 all winter, since he can hammer it WOT every second of every day and never hurt a belt. Sure its not fast, but at least it doesn't blow em.
grrrr

Plenty of stock or low boosted SW with easier clutching not having belt issues.. the harmonics beats the clutch up... Not belt issues...

Its not unlike what the 850 Doo guys are dealing with. Two sleds in my riding group are 850s and when we are running long lakes a 1200 renegade and my Attak are running 80+ mph for miles and miles without a worry and the 850 guys are way behind varying their speed because they have blown so many belts....kind of defeats the purpose of having a hyper sled.

You are complaining about blowing belts on your 270hp sled. Had you left it stock, you would probably be on the original belt.
But I understand that stock isn't much fun. I know If I ever buy a Winder it will likely get a tune. I bet someone will have a fix this next season. Like you said, Cat seems to have it. I wish someone with a big tune would slap in cat gearing for next season just to see.

I have a team tied secondary clutch on my XF7000. I know it’s not a winder, but team/venom said it would bolt right up to the AC jackshaft and they were right. It grabs the belt better and runs cooler than the stock unit did. It’s also much easier to tune.

Yeah that is the point I was making that most didn't get apparently. Its not unlike what the 850 Doo guys are dealing with. What good is all this power if you cant use it....the 600s and my 800 and my 1200 and my apex ect ect...I could hammer and hold WOT anytime, ride it how I want, and not worry about if im holding it too long or hammering it too hard. With the winder it seems you can make a belt last or blow at will.
Maybe its just never gonna be able to take this kind of power.

I remember the cat guys last year 2017 all complaining of lack of top speed, with the thundercat, and I think they had a 50 bottom and maybe 24 top,not sure but it was not the ratio we had,and many of them riding with side winders were not happy they were behind, and not in front,so many of them swapped gears to ours and now right up with the winders or maybe ahead. You are complaining about blowing belts on your 270hp sled. Yes,you may be correct Dan,if you race it straight ahead, like Ben at TD does, you may have a much better chance at belt survivale, sience you are just on and off once, than stop for a few and go again, its so different when we are pulling hard, slamming the brakes on for a sharp turn, than back onto it again, and same thing, over and over again, now go check them belt temps,i bet they are scalding hot,and it wont be long and that temp gets even hotter, sience we are not stopping long enough to completely cool them again, before the next assault on it.Yeah that is the point I was making that most didn't get apparently.
