OK I see. Consider that the MZ is a shoe in for top end speed king for a moment. That is what makes the article so honest. That article is written in a style of humor, but they are leaving no doubt that the Apex is among the best performing sleds you can buy and may prefer it overall.
They are hinting that it could be anybodys race perhaps up to 100 MPH

SOme of you guys just dont make sense to me... somebuddy writes a great ,HONEST, report about a sled that 2 years ago was called slow and heavy and you say it must be crap..

Welter, do you or others that buy (Snowtrax) appreciate being called a moron!....not that I buy that magazine,but they'll never see my money.It's not the point of faster/slower, handle's/dosen't handle, they're both awesome machines no doubt .It's the statement made by them that were MORONS the same people that pay there bills! and that I don't consider great! I applaud that rag for being at the least common sense truthful. theres no way a 150 hp is gonna run with a 170 hp. dont forget, the rotax has very good clutching, typically, out of the box. Last years mach had some rough calibrations but dont count on that for this years model. If the apex runs with the other 900's, we should be happy with that. I know I will be.

THey are not callin the readers MORONS.. they are calling the people on the websites that make false claims that a Apex can beat a mach Z! Morons!

Yes, so will I, I'll be happy if it's as fast or faster than my 03 REV 800 and not just on top. I would like it to pull out of the hole as hard and have atleast the same amount of midrange or better than my 800 had.

I could give a crap which sled is faster. Its all relative. The part of the article I loved was when he was describing running the Apex into a corner tapping the brake, and pointing the sled at the apex (ha, ha) of the corner and back on the throttle. At that point he didn't have words to describe the feeling of the pull of the sled out of the corner. "you just have to experience it for yourself." Thats what I'm talking about!!! I've been waiting all year for that feeling.

Stock for stock, the Apex will out run the RX at every speed. I know, because I was the one on the RX and the Apex rider weighed a bit more than me. And he still had me beat all day long. So to get some better handling, less weight, and a bit more power is something to be happy about. Compared to a Mach Z, eveyone has their own opinion. If I wasn't riding this stuff, I'd be riding the Mach.
