Everybody is making some bold statements about the apex that they have not ridden yet. No one will know until the snow flies. Nobody even has a decent clutch kit for it yet. Lets wait and see first

Actually the 05 RX-1 wouldn't have any problems with any of those. It doesn't take a great leap of imagination to believe that the Apex will outperform it. Especially since "everybody" doesn't include those of us who have ridden them.

What did you think of the Power TT, I know it's pretty hard from bombing in the back yard, but you must of got some feel for it.TT670 said:dave583 said:Everybody is making some bold statements about the apex that they have not ridden yet. The production Apex is even stronger than the prototype that we did our initial clutch kit testing with. This thing is looking strong!

Don't forget these sleds are going to need some serious miles to break them in before they run at peak performance.

Look guys all of this started when we all saw the swedish rx1 apex last feb. video running the mighty Z and it was that vid that we saw it beat the Z both directions, now maybe it was kind of a short run,but it was long enough to beat it that day,i have two friends that have mach zs both 05s one done up the other stock, and another friend who has a good f-7 that beat the stock mach acrossed the lake a few times in sloppy snow, next week when that same lake hardened back up the race was reversed,so what i am saying is anysled on a given day can be beat,BUT the mighty mach is the top end king no dought about that,if you run one on hard pack or ice long enough we will lose!!! But will the apex be slow? NO way, will it run 115 mph gps YES under very good conditions and maybe 120 radared very good conditions if you get it set up right, now on snowy hard groomed trails most likely 105-110 gps and that is very good.
a 4-stroke beating a 2-stroke in any conditions is awsome, and an accomplishment in my eye's....mnsnowbeast,was that a apex or a rx-1 in the video, or a pre-production of the apex and will production units be stronger than what was run in the video

In Swedan the apex's are still called RX-1's. That was a pre-production I believe.

TT, wait until the first ride, and you feed some juice to her on a straightaway. The quiet refined precision noises turn into a snarl. I have no doubt you'll be very impressed. Thats the sensation I got last year on my RX1, and the new Apex should make that feel sluggish by comparison.....
