Nice video brother! Is this in the UP? Looks like a nice engaging clutch. I'm impressed how easy it is for you to lift the front end!
This is an area Shagman, my son and I were told to check out from Buddah. Yes, this is in the UP close to the Buckhorn
Funny you say that as Yamahaguys, Sno-Ninja and others shake their heads when I "flagpole" the sled from time to time and how easy it is for me to climb big hills off-trail

We go to Buckhorn on a regular basis. I'll have to keep an eye out for your sled. That wrap is pretty distinctive! If you see a glowing blue viper, It's probably mine!

Thanks nos for the reply . Gonna try your setup and see the results . Do I still use the blue secondary spring I got from lonn with this setup . Which primary spring you think is better to try out of the two . Thanks for the advice . Also if someone with a turbo viper needs weights I can sell these too .

Yes, use the midnight blue secondary spring you got from Lonn and wrap it at 6-1 for trail and 6-2 or 6-3 for off-trail.
You have any primary springs lying around to try? The OPO will give you a lot lower engagement with the same total force as the GWG so I would try the OPO with your setup.

- 2014 Viper xtx, Thunder products clutch kit
This kit sounds interesting. So the 911 cover just makes adjustment easier? If I didn't get the 911 cover, how do I make those adjustments? I've never had a clutch kit so I'm new to this type of process. Also, is this a generic kit or do we need to call in and give our riding style, weight, etc? Last question, I have 2 of the standard viper belts that I'd like to use. Is this kit designed for the original belt or the 8dn? Thanks!

Try the YSY and leave the middle hole empty and a 3/8 aluminum in the tip. The YSY has less total force so you will need to lighten the middle and tip. See how that works? Pretty cool

When you call, Lonn will set you up on which belt you want to use. You can use the stock belt. The 8DN belt will last longer and be more consistent where the 8JP belt likes to wear fast. You will probably start hitting the rev limiter more and more....the more miles you put on the 8JP (stock) belt. But, the nice thing with this kit is it is fully adjustable and with couple tools, you can adjust your weights and not hit the rev limiter. The weights will come assembled to you and all you have to do is put the weights in and there is a manual that is very clear on how to adjust the weights if the need comes around. Here is the best part, We are here to help you at anytime if you need answers
The 911 cover provides strength to the clutch towers and has an adjustment dial to bring in the primary sheave closer to the belt so the belt doesn't get slammed upon engagement. Is the 911 cover needed for the Big Venom kit? No, but it sure is a nice unit with a long lasting bearing bushing that will not only make your clutch stronger, move more freely and can handle way more rpm's than the stock cover, but the dial adjustment will make your belts last longer.

OPO will engage less for rpm's but will be stronger pull from low end to midrange. The OPO is stiffer up on top so you may lose some top end with the stock viper hpr.
The YSY will engage about 200-300 higher rpm's and to me will pull the most from midrange to top end....depending on how the weight is distributed.

I'm thinking of trying this clutch kit but have a few questions about adjusting tip weight. Does the weight need to be removed from the clutch in order to change the gram washers and bolts or can it be achieved with the Allen bolts inserted into the weight. Little changes in top rpm is what I would like to adjust without removing the weight (arm) from the clutch.
