Do u know which belt this kit favors, 8jp,8dn,gates or dayco, I heard the kit was setup to work well with the dayco. I currently have the 8dn with osp adjuster but no snow to ride on.Someone please send me some snow....I need to test and to get this video done so I can help you guys with adjustments of the weights (if need be)

The Big Venom kit works with all the belts, but the Gates belt will grab better, so the weight setup is just a tad different so you are at the correct rpm.
The 8DN is what most Viper owners are switching to because of longevity and price. The stock 8JP to me was a belt Yamaha should have never come out with due to slippage, belt residue and just poor performance. Tried the 8JP with the kit on asphalt and lost consistency and performance, so I tossed it and never looked back. If someone wants to try the 8JP and post their findings....it never hurts to have more than enough information.
Haven't tried a Dayco belt with this kit. Put the Gates belt on and it was very consistent. Didn't wear hardly at all and was part of getting me into the 10's this year....so I stuck with it.
Gates belt I believe. 8dn size.

Yes, I am running the Gates (8DN equivalent)
But I do know Lonn has a Gates that would be equivalent to the 8JP also.

Is this the same kit that's included with evo's stage 3 performance package, the picture on their site shows the heavy hitters weights , but what looks like a primary spring.Yes, I am running the Gates (8DN equivalent)

I will have a clutch setup with Heavy Hitters for Jim and EVO once we get snow. Right now, I do believe Jim has talked with Lonn and will be using the Heavy Hitters in his performance package. But for now, I believe EVO has some different weights that look like Heavy Hitters.
All I can say is it is in the works to have both Lonn and Jim working together to give you the best performance package

Sounds great, I know all 3 of you guy's are working hard to get our vipers running at their best, I am assuming this kit is adjustable for evo's header/can and stage 4 tune, currently on my wish list. Thanks Terry, always looking forward to your input on ty.I will have a clutch setup with Heavy Hitters for Jim and EVO once we get snow. Thank you
Yes, right now Thunder Products Big Venom kit is adjustable to work with stock Vipers to the EVO full package Vipers
It's where you add a turbo that you will need to use a heavier base weight.....but Lonn has everyone covered in that area also
This year was a huge goal to get the most performance out of the Viper. Working with Lonn and Jim is the best anyone could ever hope for! Great part is working together to get these Vipers rockin!

I'd love to try the HH's on my viper. Ive already posted they were my go to weight on my smokers. What base weight would Lonn recommend around 240 hp? I'd call but I'm pretty busy. MPI has been trying to get a hold of me for weeks to get me a refund. It was kind of funny when we finally touched base today. Point is this forum is my link to vendors, I'm not available during normal business hours.

I'm running 58.8g and think that would be good for you. Pm me what turbo and boost you are running, and what you weigh with your gear on and I can give you a setup to start with. Also what year is your sled for RPM's.I'd love to try the HH's on my viper. Ive already posted they were my go to weight on my smokers. What base weight would Lonn recommend around 240 hp? Does that weight curvature work on a 2 stroke clutch which have no sluts?

Yes, Lonn also sells the same profile weight, just less or more base weight depending on the sled.
Have to laugh....no sluts? I knew you meant studs

Hahaha! No I meant the opening on the tower for the flat profile 4 stroke clutch weight.
Because I have an old 2 stroke clutch to put on for testing and racing.
