Terry I use the vivavideo app to make videos, very simple, just hold the record button while you're recording, if you don't like a certain section it can be deleted and then it's simple to just save to your phone and upload from there. It's a free app.

Just a question for clarification....
Got my big venom kit and was looking at the tuning manual with the weight in grams of the clutch weights for my personalized kit on the front page.
Is this the actual total weight of each weight?
If so mine says the weights are 48.1G but on the scale they're 55G
Should both numbers be the same or am I missing something..... Which is quite possible...lol!!
I figured Id ask here first before Id bothered Lonn with what could be a simple answer to a question from someone with little experience in clutching.

The kit comes with the weights assembled from Lonn, the number you see on the box or paperwork is the weight of the arm empty. 55 gram would be assembled and ready (or very very close) for your application.

I kinda figured it was something like that.
I weighed them before I installed just to see what they were in case I needed to adjust after and would have a starting point.
Thanks nos

I will certainly take you up on that.
I'm even wondering if I should wait till we get some snow and ride it stock then try the big venom kit to compare.
Hopefully I'll still feel the difference from last spring.
I don't think I can wait till December to install!!

NOS, are the videos uploaded somewhere? No rush just anxious to see the install. Thanks again.

SO what is the desired RPM for a STOCK Viper. Where does the rev limiter kick in ? I take it all of this is based only on 14 s and 15 s, since NOBODY has dynoed a 16 yet. Poor EVO is just getting the first couple years figured out. GREAT work by the way Jim.

Here is the video showing how nice and smooth the Big Venom kit engages. No more marks on the floor from high engagement.
This video shows the install of the 911 Thunder Products cover.
Still downloading the Big Venom kit install video....

Lots of people are in the same boat....LOL!
They can't wait till winter to try it stock and then switch the kit over. Dave_RX1 hated leaving black marks on his shop floor and the high engagement just moving sleds around....he couldn't wait either and had his 2016 updated with the kit right away

Yeah...computers and all this "app" stuff you have to upload, download....LOL. Seems like the computers keep getting more and more memory, but you would think the computer would come with all this software stuff on it.
Got a couple vidoes here now....1 still downloading. Thanks for being patient.

If you clutch a stock Viper around 9,000-9,100 you will be really good. The rev limiter on the original 2014 is 9,150. The rev limiter on the 2015 along with the re-flash is 9,250...they raised it 100 rpms.
Jim, along with everyone at EVO are amazing! It took some time but they finally got the ECU figured out. Best part of being involved with Jim at EVO and Lonn at Thunder Products....all 3 of us are here to help you get your Viper running at it's best! It's been a great year working with both of these 2 gentlemen and now all of us Viper owners can use the full power of these sleds
As soon as the snow is here, we have 5-6 Vipers locally that will be doing testing. A 2016 with 0 miles, a 2014 with 346 miles and the full EVO kit (the one that was dynoed at EVO), my 2014 Viper with 4,000 miles and the full EVO kit, a 2014 Viper with OSP turbo 6 psi and 2 more Vipers, 2014 and 2015 stock with some miles on them.....all running the Thunder Products Big Venom kit. If there are any questions....we should be able to answer any question about a setup....even with different belts such as the 8JP, 8DN and Gates belt that Thunder Products sells.

Well, I see why the video is taking so long....I somehow saved the video to Quicktime instead of WMV.
I will have to convert it when I get home...work computer won't let me download the converter software.
