Too many header and can options!!

im wanting to install some goodies on the new sled and I'm thinking about starting with a can or even a header or intake. Can anyone suggest which aftermarket can will be the quietest? I don't mind giving up a few HP to keep the noise down but of course I'm looking for better performance than stock. The OSP on there now is insanely loud. I was thinking about the new ulmer can. I believe those are made by Slp. Anyone have any recommendations?

MBRP on mine cannot tell much difference from stock, sitting next to our other viper that has stock. Cheap too was about 270 if I remember right

Best bang for buck is Can, header can give you a little more but $ per horsepower is something you have to weigh.

399.00 for header is a lot cheaper than others I have seen.

Really? I had no idea. That's kind of a bummer. Maybe I'll just stick with stock because I not a fan of super loud exhaust.

Our muffler is made by SPI (Straightline Performance Inc), not SLP (Starting Line Products). I have tested 6 of the "quiet" mufflers from the aftermarket and they all virtually perform the same (within 1 hp). We have worked to have the quietest can on the market.

Don't look at just price. I tested headers as well, and found 0 horsepower gain with the MBRP.

I really like that you developed a quiet can. That sounds pretty amazingly quiet. How much power does your header add over the stock assuming I use your can?

I think that video has me sold. I sent an email on Friday about how to order it. Let me know. I just need to decide about your new header and and intake. If I get all 3 from you would I need fuel controller? I've already have a clutch kit.

Not so with MBRP on our red Viper, not saying others are not that way though.

I agree with Stingray. The MBRP trail can is the quietest I have tried. It wasn't much louder than stock. I've also run a Straightline Performance and Sandale. I'm running the Sandale now though it's louder than the MBRP. I really like the tone. The Straightline is a bit noisy also but I'm guessing it wasn't the same as the Ulmer version.

I rode with a group of viper guys last winter (5 total if I remember right) 2 were stock and one had the mbrp can and then 2 turbos, after 50 miles of riding and stop and go chit chatting I honestly had no idea the one with the mbrp wasn't stock, to me it wasn't any louder than stock, just a nicer tone.

The MBRP sounds like a 2stroke when wide open and in the air. Sounds louder than stock in those cases for sure. Just my opinion though.

I have a brand new MBRP can for sale in the classifieds. It's not bad, I just wanted something quieter.
