What's the consensus? Tight or loose. Not worried about centering. Gave up on that long ago and no issues. This is what I have been running all year.

My dealer told me a little on the loose side is better.
So am I seeing 1-3/4" with track free hanging?
Seems a little loose.

I swear I seen the book say with 20 or 22lbs of pull should be 2 in.

Cannondale I'd leave it at what you're at, I made half a dozen back to back runs last year making adjustments to track tension, you can easily lose a few mph if not more when the track is too tight, the fastest mine ever ran was with 1-1/2" to 2" of sag with no weight on it, measuring exactly how you are right there. A free rolling track and shallow approach angle of the track and softer suspension settings I found were the three biggest speed factors when it came to the chassis itself.

For years I have been running my Yamahas loose. Just tight enough that the track doesn't ratchet. That was because Yamahas were always so hard on hyfax. Arctic cats were never that hard on Hyfax but I'm still running my RTX pretty loose. Just about where you have yours. I have over 3000 miles on it. Original hyfax. No issues.

1 3/4" is where mine is.
That said do your measurements at the same time. What I mean is sag is different with track warm in shop or cold and also different if track was just run or hanging for some time.

I do 1.25- 1.5 free and 2 with 15lbs. I also center track which always is a b**** for some reason. Probably because I'm picky and everything has to be right on. Which I know isn't the case... Lol...

Thanks guys. Leaving it as is. 1000mi as is no issues.
Do any of you have rubber marks on your tunnel protectors? I always run my tracks really loose but noticed the rubber marks, I'm guessing that is hurting top speed some also.

It does hurt top speed because the track Is ballooning and rubbing. I have some marks on top and side of tunnel. Nothing crazy but I don't care for top speed anymore.

Leave it loose! If it isn't ratcheting its perfect. You can pick up mph and mpg.
