$1000! Heck that is CHEAP! Go to your local parts counter and see how much $1k gets you towards replacing your current suspension I'd guess for most a little over half is all that thousand bucks will buy!

Boy oh boy, if this info had come out sooner, I probably would have jumped at this.
I just finished putting my sled away after replacing a cracked rail, new bearings, and new wheels. While not close to a grand, I would have given serious thought at trying out this suspension, perhaps even long tracking it.

Well, I need a new transfer rod, few wheels and bearings and a stiffer spring for my Mono not to mention a new track. Think it’s a good time to try this skid out and maybe stretch to a 136 while I’m at it.

They don't say much about how it performs, if it transfered weight like the expert x I'd jump on it for sure.
Edit: I just emailed them asking about how it stacks up compared to the expert x.

If the people making the composites are good, this would be stronger and more resilient than a metal skid. I'd love to see Yami do this with the mono. I had an expert a few years ago and hated it. About all it was good for was weight transfer.

RED rx-1,can you elaborate a little more on your expert skid? First one to say anything bad

Okay, what exactly is the "unique subsion effect when you hits bumps". Need a French translator? Ad boivin site faqs give the lengths and weights by- the- way. Edit; ZX2, I'm asking about. RR

Black 1000 said:They have been R&Ding it for quite a while. But like the Rev XP I am not convinced that it wont have logevity problems
An aftermarket company like Boivin has a lot more to lose than BRP if they have some reliability issues. BRP has the resources to deal with it and the diversity of products to get through it. Boivin is fairly limited, so they better have a really good product. I actually have very little doubt that this thing will be at least as durable as any OEM skid out there now. Probably much MORE durable that some.

The parallel arm angles design looks similar to an M10...

I just got off the phone with Jeff at AD. He assured me that this suspension was as good or better at everything as the Expert. This skid carries a 4 yr warranty and the wheels and bearings are the same as the Rev. The Expert has 151 parts and the ZX2 has 51. I asked as I can put a pretty good beating on equiptment what would happen if I smashed it and his reply was that short of dropping the sled off a cliff it would be looked after. The ZX2 is being offered to hit a more mainstream demographic.

So are the days of the Expert-X done?? Black, this is not pointed at you but to AD, if this suspension is better than the Expert-X why would anyone buy the Expert-X if it has no advantages..
Since I see it's still available..

From what I get from Jeff the Expert will still be available for a while. The Expert is obviously more expensive to manufacture so in turn more expensive to buy and they (AD) are only reaching 5% of the market. With the ZX2 they can reach more sledders as they can keep the cost down. I got no indication of them dropping the Expert but he did say that this suspension is the future.
For whatever it's worth I am going to try one and see what happens. I have a couple of buddies useing the Expert and hopefully I can get some saddle time on both side by side.
I was prepared to buy the Expert but want to see what the ZX can do.
