That is awesome, I think I'm sold! I still cant see how to adjust the track tension, must be through the windows like the yamaha skids, I really like my edge better for adjusting the tension with the bolts on the outside of the rail.
Anybody know how big the rear wheels are? They look 8" but they might be regular size and its hard to tell since they are pitch black.

In the French article, the writer says that on the test, 2 identical sleds were taken out, one with the ZX2. He says that the sled with the ZX2 ended up having a 20-30 km/hr increase in top speed! I find it hard to believe, but you never know.

I doubt it also very much so actually.

Red you bring up a good point,my friend bruce, installed on in his older rx1 03 and it went good over the small stutters but would slam ard when going over any sized bigger bumps, they told him how to adjust it stiffer, but all the way stiff was way to soft for anyone wanting to ride hard, heck i would rather dump this susp.in my 07 rtx rather than dump 1200 bucks revalving and doing all of the suspension over with hygear, and maybe still not getting the kind of ride and handling i wanted,as i am not impressed with the 07 rtx at all,can someone give any kind of clear cut advise on this type of suspension as far as big bump compliance.RedRX1 said:If the people making the composites are good, this would be stronger and more resilient than a metal skid. I'd love to see Yami do this with the mono. I had an expert a few years ago and hated it. About all it was good for was weight transfer.

I'd like to see the skid in action. Also wondering what it looks like in a long track 151 and up? Anyone seen a video of it yet?
Actually, the guy in the article said that he could ride 20 to 30 km faster and still be comfortable on the sled with the ZX2... compared to the other one.
And a little bit of extras (for whatever that worth), i can read from a french forum; and this comes from JF Couture of AD Boivin anwsering a question.
this is a on the spot traduction here:
<<The ZX2 is the continuity of the Expert X. Everything that AD Boivin discovered in the suspention area in the past 10 years gets into the ZX2. This is the first composite suspention on the market, rugged and built to last... garranty. ZX2 is the first suspention to be comfortable & aggressive at once; let me explain: Before, either you'd set to be smooth & comfortable but bottoming in the mogul or set tight then loose comfortability. .. not anymore. With the new G-Force shock combined with the ZX2, both are possible due to the dual zone shock.>>
...it sure sounds like a sale ad to me. We sure will know better next season as we ride test it.

I like the concept but have many reservations concerning the long term reliability. Plastic skis don't take anywhere near the beating of the rear skid. I've broken many things on rear skids and very few plastic skis.
I would need to see this skid hold up during a fast ride down a concrete hard, whooped out trail at 20 below to believe that it is durable. I personally don't see it holding up but I hope they have it figured out.

Just spoke to Jeff at Boivin about composite suspension , I had ordered one last nght thru the pay-pal . I am going to put this on an Attak with a S/C. The rear wheels are eight inch, four of them. They tested the skid in sno-cross and state that it will hold up to a beating. As far as install on a sled with boost he would not comment on durability with the added torque as they do not have any real time on the skid in that situation. I also have an x-pert for back-up if I break it so I'll have to wait and see what happens
Just curious, did he say which series it was run in and who was running it?

No he didn't Rock he just stated that it was tested in sno-cross and at their facility in Canada, when I pushed him about running the suspension with any type of boost he wouldn't comment on the skid except to say they didn't test it in that situation . He seemed very confident on the strength of the skid, I have one coming and will try it out, We sell and install composite props for boats down here and they hold up fairly well,I'm not to afraid of the plastic concept. Now in a high performance situation (i.e. high torque the blades on a comp prop would just twist right off) they are made for casual boating.
Time will tell.
