Are you thinking about buying a new skid? from adboivin?
If there will be a new skid it will be Racer Edge's set up. As close as it gets to a m10.
For once I plan to be done before snow starts to fly. But she is not close to done yet. Plenty of work to do. How is your project coming along? Sure you don't want to sell me some mid mount parts back - lol;-)
I have started to order som parts for the sled, but no time to work on the sled now. But I am hoping to be ready when the snow is here.
So I am not planning to sell something back
good luck with your sled, I will follow this tread.

Winter is getting closer
I am almost done with the sled. Just a few minor things to do. The cylinder head gave me alot off work, but is fixed now
Fixed one off the exhaust ports threads, cleaned head, cleaned all valves, changed out all valve stem seals to be sure, changed a valve and shim retainer etc. Head re-shimmed (thanks RxRider for the telephone support - you are outstanding -
)
New head shim is installed.
Engine has been fired all and the engine work paid off - she is ALIVE - it will give me piece off mind when cranking up the boost
Cylinder head work
New vacum hoses installed - absolutlly everthing is zip tied
Installed fuel pump (Walbro) to support more boost and heat shield on all fuel lines. I am not a big fan of the plastic T that comes with MCX upgrade kit, so it was changed out with a brass T frome Begi. I am a firm beliver in the small things to make the difference from a poor install to good install. That is why all the heat shielding etc.
Mcx intercooler has been upgraded with extra bracing on the plenum to support the weight of the Tial Q on the charge tube. New T-style clamps through the hole turbo system and new silicone hoses
Piia lights installed so the only work on the High beam setting
Tunnel supports made for the tunnel due to out edges now have coolant running through them
All sharp edges got edge trim on them so I won't have any rubbing issues for the new routing of colant hoses. I also installed the radiator. I don't care if it adds weight - good for engine life when under boost
Sled will get a new skid this winter (parts have strated to arrive) total weight loss with all parts tunnel, skid, seat etc became aprox. 75 lbs/34 kg.
I will post some pics when she is all done

Thanks buddy! I will post some pics soon. We are working on my friends sled at the moment. When it is done - my last pieces are getting bolted on. Then time to ride

My friends sled is done! We streched it to 144" with a 2" track using a Venture skid. This is a very nice looking sled
Custom ordered tunnel ext from muffin works so we could use the ski-doo heavy duty rear bumper with a towhitch. Need a hitch for all those two strokes. At least they get to set new high speeds records with their sleds beeing pulled by a boosted Apex
I have wrapped up my project. Installed a new skid , boss seat etc and a bunch of small stuff
I fabbed up a alu plate for the plastic rear center pice to attach to. This also gave me a poosibility to install the Halman boost controller where I wanted it
I got a good deal on a almost new TS skid. I wanted to go with the racer edge set up, but deal was good enough not to let it go. I will give it a try. I just hope it holds up. If not I will ger a RE setup since I already have their rails ready.
TS skid was updated with the 2010 updated kit and two extra cross shafts and a anti stab kit. Iceage rails were drilled to move lower shock shafts mounts forward according to Timbersled instructions for boosted sleds
I know the track is almost destroyed. The new camo extreme will not be installed before later this winter
It is ready in the garage
))))
I fabbed up a alu plate to drop/lower the rear heat exchanger. Both so the heat exchanger would line up with the running board heat exchangers out lets and the possibility to rivet a plate under the Yamaha logo on the tunnel extension
I also drilled some holes in skid plated hoping it would drain some of the water out instad of having icebuild up. Probably a long shoot , but worth a try
I also fabbed up a new plate under the turbo
Now it is time to ride the old Rapex. I will post some full size pics of the sled once I get her out on the snow
