Pine Stump and points north got dumped on this past weekend. A friend of mine was riding out on the marshes and he said the snow was coming up over the cowling of his Wide Track Skandic. I don't like the looks of the weather for Tuesday: high of 37F (2.8C) and "wintry mix", but if we come through that the rest of the forecast calls for cooler temps.

Stu thanks for the update. Ya, watching the forecast I suspected Tuesday was gonna be a problem day. Well we won't be up there till later in the day anyway. Come up there a few years back when u guys were having record high temps. Like in the low 40s and the trails held up. Like ya said, get through Tuesday and things should be better .

The snow is getting pretty thin right now...the last couple days have killed us and the forecast now shows no relief in the immediate future...

Im glad i wont be there this weekend. Sunny and high 30's. Plus thousands of sleds. One be best off to ride from 5am-noon. Then go back to the cabin and drink. Lol. Im just hoping they get some snow on tuesday and again by the end of the week. Otherwise we may just have to ride forest roads and two tracks which im not familiar with in that area. I may look online and try to find some forest/seasonal road maps or something.

Rode the Eastern UP this weekend. Hit GM, Paradise, Newberry and Trout Lake. IMO the trails are done unless they get a lot of snow. Very snirty and rough by GM and Paradise and very little snow on an ice base in Trout Lake and Newberry. Seasonal roads were in good shape.
