How were the trails in Hurley area? I am supposed to be going up there this coming weekend and it doesn't look good

it is not good there. Stayed in Ironwood this past weekend and had to trailer to Bergland just to get to "rideable" snow. Headed north and once we got to Mass City it was pretty good all the way to Copper Harbor. Put on 505 miles in two days in that area, got beat up but it was worth it.

thats what I am hoping to avoid doing. I have a MI trail pass but my wife doesn't and i don't want to blow $45 for one day if i can avoid it but maybe I will have no choice

Just got back last night from the U.P. All I can say is from Twin Lakes to Houghton sugary snow. Hard to groom. Was real choppy Friday. Getting through Houghton tough. Once out of Houghton trail 17 north good. Further north you get the better the snow is. Getting through towns BAD! Trail 3 from Houghton to Lake Linden virtually bare. Stay off of 133 from Gay to Lac La Belle. BAD! 450 miles in 3 days of riding. I do need carbides and burned through some hyfax also. Glad I went! Time to summerize now!
