They just bolt on and go
ive already had a couple hundred miles and i think they are great
No darting
Rails around corners
better floatation
They handling of the sled is more than 100 % better
So For The People That put down these skis
Your Crazy..... This is the best improvement yet
I got the Bobby Unser Exrememe Package with all three shark fins
power steering plates and stud boy shapers 7". im using the mid fins now..
i havent even put the power steering plates on yet ,no need steering is not hard at all ... :ORC if your interested in the triple threats go for it they are great :)Richie

I feel the same way. When I first rode the Apex in powder with stock skis, I thought I made a big mistake by buying the sled after riding REVs. The Apex would sink in the front and plow snow. I broke trail through 2' of powder a couple nights ago with the X2's on and it was very hard to make the front end sink. Like you stated, handling is point and shoot, and the light steering effort is amazing considering how aggressive the skis are. The other benefit is a cheap few mph gain up top.

I have them as well and think they are great skis. Some of the other members are haveing problems with them. I think they have way too much ski preasure set up. They are a very aggressive ski. If set up properlly they perform well.

What do you have your toe out set at?Also what kind of carbides are running.Iam still waiting for carbides from Bergstrom for my X2s.
Thanks for any info.

I put 1200 miles on mine last year with 6in shapers and I don't run studs. My only complaint was they seemed to steer hard. I moved them back to the rear mount last weekend around Cadillac. I was seriously amazed at how much difference it made. I didn't think just moving them an inch or so could change them that drastically. It was almost as big an improvement as adding the skis themselves. After 100 miles or so I jumped on my buddy's 500ss rev and actually thought it was turning harder than my Attak. Anybody reading this thread and having trouble with hard turning....move the skis forward before you spend any more money on the steering plates or different carbides. I'll bet you'll be as surprised as I was. Great skis and more important SAFE skis. Its nice to know the sled will go where ever you need to put it, whether it be agressive riding or avoiding a potential accident.

SKIS

This site rocks! I got on the site to post about these skis and BigR already had a post going. I met Rick and Kevin from USI at a recent show in NY( nice guys). The Technology/thought in design and quality is all there for an outstanding ski. I really like the chopped tail design for rider foward sleds. I picked up a set but have not had a chance to put any miles on them as of yet. I'm currently running simmons with no complaints but as Rick from USI stated "if you don't like them better than the simmons, return them". I was curious about darting, but so far you guys are saying "no darting". Sounds great so far. I will post my 2 cents after some ride time. :rocks:

I have a set of USI X2s on my Attak. They work great in all
snow conditions. Slight push in the fluff. I guessing because of the longer
track. Virtually zero darting, great flotation, normal sttering effort.
I have the 7" carbide and slightly toed out.

So Far I think These Ski's Are The Best Out
Totally Adjustable
A Little Pricey but youll Be Suprized The Diff In Handling :)

I rode snowbandits attack with these ski`s and i liked them alot for the short ttime i rode it.I hope to try it again soon but i could feel the floatation of the ski imediatleyand the carbide working to.He did say they are harder to turn but not much I would like to put a 100 miles maybe more on them and see what happens.Makes me wonder what to do triple threats or slydogs hmm

:rocks:
If you spend the time to look this site has almost everything. I never had a problem with stock skis didn't say they were great just no problems, I always just ran 9" Stud Boys. I always thought the sled was a little hard to turn on long rides you would really notice it, or very hard pack snow was a pain. :exc: Yes it dives badly in deep snow.

But after reading this post I'll be looking at USI's website to check out and most likely purchase a set of these. So if anyone know's where to get the best deal just let me know I would greatly appreciate it, or where I could get a multiple discount since everone I ride with has Attak's. I know of at least 7 friends with Attak's.

Don't know if any sponsers on here sell them but you can call USI direct. That's what I did. buy the way I love them too. At first I had ver heavy steering until I realized that I had raised my limiter strap up two or three holes to try and get the stockers to bite more. I now am at the stock setting on the limiter and they don't feel any harder to turn then I would like. The nice thing about is the point and shoot feeling. For instance my wifes Phazer Mtn. (stock skis) I can turn the bars back and forth quickly while riding and it won't do anything. Yes, I realize I can probably tune this out, but on X2's, if you give an input to the bars the sled reacts, there is no feeling of delay in turning.

I can't speak to the triple threats because I have not riden a sled that has these skis. I can however tell you that the Slydog powderhounds are awesome skis. I have them on my Apex GT and they are good in the powder as well as on the trail. They do not require a lot of effort to turn the handle bars. I would recommend them to anyone with an Apex.
