I think it’s a assembly issue from factory. They set them to the tight side of tolerance and sometimes error a bit.

I'm on the way to adjust my valve and i'm wondering if its possible to verify the new valve clearance without installing the chain tensionner?
No. Reason why is you should always do the final check after turning motor over by hand a few times. The clearance will change after this since oil is caught between shim and bucket that would not normally be there. I think its a valid habit I have always done on shim type adjustment. Also keep tension with a finger on chain between the gears. Dont want it to jump time with valvecover off. Valvecover adds tension.I'm on the way to adjust my valve and i'm wondering if its possible to verify the new valve clearance without installing the chain tensionner?

Ok then I have to compress and reinstall the chain tensioner, then gently turn the engine a few turns with a little tension on the chain between the gears before proceeding to final check of the valve clearance?
Also where the oil drain hole are located? Just to be extra carefull to not drop a shim in it...

Yes did mine 2 years ago and went to do a second adjustment on 2 valves and dropped a shim down the oil hole. Almost cried. Removed the cylinder head and found the shim stuck to the head gasket.Ok then I have to compress and reinstall the chain tensioner, then gently turn the engine a few turns with a little tension on the chain between the gears before proceeding to final check of the valve clearance?

Well add another one to the list. I just had mine checked at the local dealer. 5 of 6 were too tight and 2 had 0 clearance. Hopefully i wont have to have this done for the “recommended” 25k miles. Only had 10k on mine right now.
Cyl 3 valve 1 still in spec?

Did the chain tensionner will release only when the engine will start for the first time? or we can get it release by cranking without spark plugs?
That’s 4 I know of. Factory did something wrong. That valve also had the smallest shim including mine. For mine, yes

So u think the factory messed something up so we shouldnt have that problem now? Or is this going to be a recurring thing every 6-10k?That’s 4 I know of. Factory did something wrong. That valve also had the smallest shim including mine.
