Version #2 homebuilt header

How much strength do you think you lost in the bulk head by cutting out that much?? That is a pretty good sized cut. Header is looking good!!! I went home and looked at mine after seeing your pictures and man mine looks small!!

not worried about strength there a new peice is being welded in tight to pipe when completed. What looks small header down pipe or the hole?

My down pipe and my header look tiny compared to yours!! I am running a divorced 2 inch down pipe and could easily fit a bigger one. With the header you made it looks like it pushes the down pipe almost vertical rather than forward towards the jackshaft. My jackshaft is under the tunnel. I was thinking you could get more room by removing the stock heat sheild under the header that normally covers the jack shaft.

I might have to have Dave craft up some replacements. I don't really want to cut that big of a hole in the cast part of the bulk head........

No. Smail and I keep missing each other on the hill. I took a look at my down pipe and it is a 2 inch. Does Derrick have the same header/downpipe that I have? I know he is running the 71.

I have bigger issues at the moment that I was going to call you about today. Nothing to do with your parts... I have one head stud #5 that I can't get to torque. I'm hoping it didn't pull out!!

Version 3 Header

Take 3 here it is guys. The tube lengths are from 15.5 to 17.5, This thing looks ugly but its a good one, Welding has improve 300% What do you think. This is the last one for me , tired of cutting and grinding. I can hear ya laughing Dave.
