So I can feel a slight vibration in my feet at around 50mph. It almost feels like if I had a 2 inch track riding on pavement. I have had the feeling since my first ride. It makes me paranoid that a bearing is gone in it or something, but it has done it since the beginning. Is that normal for a viper?
You know with a bran new sled you hear and feel every little thing. But it annoys me on the trail. But I've pushed it hard, it runs like a beast, but that slight vibration is there. I'm headed out in an hour again to get a better speedometer reading of when it starts and stops. But has anyone experienced this?

Sidewinders have it as well when the snow is deep on the trail, it has it around 50 and then again around 70, not sure why. We have 2 winders and they do it and all the winder guys I have ridden with experience it in different trail conditions. Go down a hard pack road and its not there.

Same with my viper. Sometimes it's there and sometimes it's not.

I know the feeling but it also feels very similar when a belt is about to delaminate or go boom.

BINGO! I'm getting ready to post a question about vibration and here your post is. My sled, 2018 LTX-DX has vibration also. Comes in at about 45mph/5000 rpm and leaves at about 65 mph/7000 rpm. Those are approximate numbers. It's very similar to the vibration you feel if you slip over to the "rumble strip" on the highway in your car. So far I have found the clutch alignment out of tolerance...( I reshimed to be within).... Also found drive chain about 3 turns too loose... ( I reset to 1 1/2 turns). Neither of these helped. The vibration seems more pronounced if the sled is pulling hard. rather than steady rpm. Sled currently has 1052 miles on it and has done this since the first time I took it over that 5000 rpm line. We still have one more trip planned this season. I join this group with looking for any ideas. ThanksSo I can feel a slight vibration in my feet at around 50mph. Sounds about normal. Now don’t get me wrong. Bearing noises don’t go away they get worse as you rack on miles.

Thanks MrSled. Really appreciate your input. I'm hoping for another 500 or 600 more miles, then it's the dealer's problem.Sounds about normal. Now don’t get me wrong. Bearing noises don’t go away they get worse as you rack on miles.
My bet is it’s the extrovert drivers.

I am getting the vibration in the left foot more than any where else. Seems more at 45mph under acceleration, never on the back shift or while engine breaking. If I pin it or ramp the flipper up and down it will go away. I am running a turbo and had the gates CF belt in for almost 4k miles until it came apart in large pieces. The belt left behind a black residue that I cleaned as best I could on the trail side. The vibration almost seems like the primary and the secondary clutches are not working together and the belt is grabbing and slipping unless I am really on it. I have a stock Yamaha belt back in there now. I checked it yesterday and the belt is a little glazed over but not too bad. I would think that if my bearing was going the vibration would be more pronounced at all speeds and also on the back shift. I was told to stay away from the after market belts by the mechanic that set up my sled. I will be using Yamaha belts for now anyway.Sounds about normal. Now don’t get me wrong. When I got this sled xtx 2016 used with only 1400km I had a vibration. I never had it in my stx dx 146. first thing I check was the belt, it had burn spot on it. changed the belt and no more vibration.

Put 63 Miles on last night. Trail was hard packed. Didn't feel it right away at any speed. As she got warmed up, there it was. As I coast into the corners, it goes away. If I pull on it hard, its not there. When I'm at a cruising speed, its there. From the comments it looks like it could be many different things. I broke 90 mph last night for the first time, and it was pulling hard. So fun! My first viper but the motor feels flawless (like it should I guess). I don't think its a belt, I've checked it and it looks solid.
Judging by the comments I'm gonna say its a "normal" feeling. This is prime riding now, I'm not taking it into the dealer. If something happens, I will let the warranty sort it out!

I've had the feeling since my first ride up in Wawa. Put 200 miles on one day, it was an on and off thing. I don't think a bearing issue would happen on a first ride? But what do I know. HA.Sounds about normal. Now don’t get me wrong. Bearing noises don’t go away they get worse as you rack on miles.
