why do you say that? you would think a company that prides them selfs on how reliable there machines are and acctually offer the option to order a factory installed turbo would remidy the issue, or at least realease exactly what is going on...

Yamaha has lost their pride and ethics when it comes to the SR Viper project.
If they had any we'd see better running/idling/staring sleds without starter gears shattering. We'd see correction of the bait/switch shock deal with 2015 RTX LE. We'd see a proper fix for the rear Evol chamber interference issue on the XTX. We'd see a guarantee for the rods on 2016 engines when running factory approved MPI turbo setups.
Instead we see more of the same start/run/starter issues. We see too bad too sad specs subject to change on the shock bait and switch. We see "just take off the idler you don't need it any how" on the XTX, and we see a change in the language/exclusion regarding adding a turbo to the 2016 models...

I dont care what the problem is with the sled as long as they stand behind there product and fix the problem. I was looking to get more than 12 miles on my sled this year.

we need some pics, are you both micheal geil and mtx claiming blown motors? that would make 3 all without pics someone has to have a camera phone!
I hate to say it at risk of offending someone but it wouldnt be the first time someone came on here claiming something. Pics or it didnt happen.

be hard to take one. mine is back at dealer now. yes the motor is blown. I am hopeful they will solve this for me as fast as possible. ive had warranty work done on my 2014 Yamaha viper and all was taken care of.
I hope so too but just call and have someone there text you a picture of it. Takes 2 minutes

hope all is taken care of for you. i just had mine in for the reverse actuator that locked up. broken buttons on the clutch. all was taken care of. did you trade in your 14?

they are closed now. Im also not to tech savvy so not sure how to post a pic. the hole blown in my motor is above oil filter. plus im not here to point fingers or bad mouth the products just want to maybe be informing others so they know what might happen or take steps to prevent it.

I understand and dont want to make life any harder for you than it is already with this happening but you can understand that there are people who just go on internet and cause trouble. Its very hard to figure out who those people are. A picture would go a long way. I wish you the best. You sure seem to be a standup guy.

thanks. it just happened yesterday afternoon still sinking in. only good news is there are no trails open and the snow we do have will melt by sat.. im sure tho now im out a sled it will snow next week.

Center cylinder? That would be helpful to know if it is always the center cylinder that goes, too much info we do not have yet.
