2.52
If you are looking to stay 2.52 then go with a 151 or 153 I think you can get a 2.52 in either, and I would go with a Camoplast Challenger or Challenger Extreme. The 155 is 2.86 pitch.

I say run whatever track you like best you're gonna have to take the drive axle out anyways so you might as well upgrade to extros while you're in there.

I think the 151 is about the perfect track on the phazer, i have wanted to do it to mine, but haven't yet.
It gets you the approach angle that you need by moving the skid back and no need for extensions.
Plus they are very easy to find used.
The next logical step up in length I think would be a 159.

I don't know the angle. But i do know looking at my vector 151 and phazer 144 on the trailer, there is a huge difference.
they actually have almost exactly the same amount on track on the ground. The difference is made up in the approach angle.
The vector is 10 times the powder machine that the phazer is.

156
A 156 is a 2.52 and that would be perfect I stand corrected on the 153 sorry for giving you the wrong info. Thanks for the correction I forgot about the 153 being a 3 in pitch.

The "MTX" should have been called an XTX from the factory. I've always wondered why the tunnel is SO LONG for only a 144" track, I wonder if they had originally planned to have a 151" track from the factory and they changed it to a 144" just before release. Yes the approach is horrible, but not quite as bad as the short track phazers.

what sled did the 156 2.52 track come out of or was it just something camoplast made?

Camoplast
Just one camoplast made. Not sure if they make it in 14 you may have to cut it down. Look at tracksusa.com for a list of all mountain tracks.
