Not that I know of, totally different motor.A little off topic but does the Vector have the "drone" noise at low speed like the Apex?

The 05 vector had a drone...with new slides. Once worn, it was gone, or changed pitch. I put on wheel kits, it got worse so I took off one set. Track is whooped now, but the sled has been quiet...apex never droned, with original ripsaw and v pattern 98 studs, til I put on the ripsaw II, fully clipped,..now it has a low speed drone, so I say it's more track harmonics than engine.

Think he was talking about an engine drone like the older Apex sleds have. Likely the main reason they went with the EXUP exhaust after 2010 on all Apex models. The 05 vector had a drone...with new slides. Once worn, it was gone, or changed pitch. Thanks...but I never noticed an engine drone, I have a stiffer clutch spring and always seem to be turning over 7 grand, if I have time to look....I am usually on the gas or brake, and really don't cruise much, but will listen for it...if it ever snows again....but the tracks do have a drone at certain engine and speed combinations.....06 rtx...

Strange. Pretty sure I read that it does for the Monoshock and Monoshock II. I guess they fixed this in the Singleshot geometry somehow.I didn't notice any change in track tension as I compressed the rear suspension.

2011 still has it. i just do not ride at that speed if i can help it.Think he was talking about an engine drone like the older Apex sleds have. Likely the main reason they went with the EXUP exhaust after 2010 on all Apex models.

What I find strange is most here who doesn't like the Singleshot is blaming it on the air shock. But the 2011+ Apex SE Monoshock II comes with the same shock and I don't recall reading as many bad reviews or placing blame on the air shock? I rode my buddies 2011 Apex SE last year and it was very comparable to my Ohlins electronic adjustable.

I was under the impression that 2011 + air shock was a straight shock without an external reservoir and not like the new single shot with an external reservoris that true? What I find strange is most here who doesn't like the Singleshot is blaming it on the air shock. I have been struggling to find a happy medium for this shock as well. I don't know who ever came up with 250 PSI as a starting point. That may as well be a block of wood, it doesn't move a 16th of an inch when you climb on the sled... Crazy stiff!
I've got a 2016 Skidoo Enduro with the air suspension and onboard compressor. That is a much better design for practicality... Can change pressure on the fly.
I would love to see Yamaha incorporate an onboard compressor with this shock.
On a side note, that Skidoo sled goes in for 4th warranty repair this season (Exhaust manifold bolts fell out, engine Kept overheating, idler wheel fell off, and now air compressor quit working... Always fixed for free and great service, but my Apex and Viper which are also both '16s haven't been in for repairs once...)

Guys I think there is a big difference in the setup for the 129" and 144". I just lowered my pressure to 270 PSI dealer setup book says that Yamaha wants the shock to move 25 to 30mm measured at the shock when rider sits on sled. Well we all know that is to stiff , I do know when I had 185 PSI in my shock the snow flap was on the ground when I sat on it so right there is a big difference from the XTX. I go by the bumper at free state it was 21.500" with 270 psi and in street cloths it dropped to 18.750" before with 285psi it dropped to 19.250". I did make a mistake on a previous post when I said it dropped only an 1.250" when it was actually 2.250" sorry for that. I will say this about the suspension when mine bottoms its not a hard landing. This is hard to explain I try to bottom the sled so I know how I want the suspension. When I do get it to bottom it feel like a cushion in stead for my teeth chattering.
