I just have alot of experience and do not consider my self an expert at any of the things you listed. There is alot of hype in advertising and if you believe in every thing you read you will be lost and not have a clue to what works. Only by experience will you know what works and what does not. Just expressing an opinion. Believe what you want. I know what works. I did not bash you, I was bashing the article. You seem to bash anyone who disagrees with you.

I have used amsoil 0w-40 and wix filters and have been allright, the oil doesnt darken much, and the engine runs like a bear.

Shell Ultra 4stroke sled oil, been running it in both my sleds from 1st oil change.

Yamalube 4S sled oil is in my turbo sled this year, just as good as the Shell Ultra and at half the cost.

Redline or Royal purple here. 5-20W. I also use redline lightweight shockproof gear oil in the chaincase for 3 years now with no problems.
