Is everyone going to a conventional multi angle helix when using race or max spool tunes with Dalton weights. Lots more power down low with these quick spooling tunes.

I have a Dalton 41-35. I’ll be testing this week on a 3 to 4 day ride. I had a lot of success with multi angle helixes on my turbo RX-1
I like my 41/37 on the trail when I'm up to speed it's great. Tough getting it to hook below 30 mph. That's with the stock gear

I tried the 41/35 , on power max it would pull to 8400rpm then slowly pull to 8700-8800 rpm , the straight 35 will pull to 9000rpm then settle 8900 instantly , at this point I'm stilling liking the straight 35 ,

9050-9100 spike quickly dropping to 88-8900 on hard pack, or 8750-8800 in soft/deep

Similar results found between the 41/35 and straight 35 here except with the 41/35 I'm at 85-86 initially then it pulls up to 88-89. All my best ETs to date are with the 41/35 as well as my best top end. all testing done with a TD GPS. I'll be testing more this week.I tried the 41/35 , on power max it would pull to 8400rpm then slowly pull to 8700-8800 rpm , the straight 35 will pull to 9000rpm then settle 8900 instantly , at this point I'm stilling liking the straight 35 ,

Usually your best (fastest setup) will settle in a couple hundred rpm below redline then creep up as mph increases. A clutch setup that overshoots (feels snappy) but isn’t usually the fastest. It’s nice for tight trails tho.

If your overshooting you can always take some wrap out of the secondary spring.
