Looking to see if anyone knows if there’s an extension plug from hood to sled. That way one could put the hood on the floor and still have the sled plugged in to check for boost leaks or whatever without having to put the hood back on. Thanks

A hood harness extension would be nice. I have been setting the hood down on its nose leaning against the PTO side of the sled for maintenance where the sled needs to power up.

Maybe these companies like hurricane, td, precision, barn of parts or even gap can make them. I’m sure it will be a hit

I was actually on cat country and they have a 16 pin plug hood harness extension. It should be the same I have an email into them. I’ll give update when I receive an answer.

One on ebay for viper.maybe the same
No...don't think that fits the 2017 and up SWs.
Looks like the Arctic Cat part number is 1686-802 but no one has stock...probably unavailable for ever now.

Yamaha part #s for different hood extension harnesses and which years they will fit.

I bought one last fall from Country Cat for my Cat. I think it was on sale for around $30. Haven't used it yet, but just thought I needed it.

Cat country said no on having them. Thanks to Allen now i have the yamaha part number i'll see if i can find one.

Partspak.com says they have 24 of them, now 23 if it's legit. Order went through, hopefully I won't get an email saying anything different.

I fail to see why one would need this extension.

You're not supposed to do a boost check on the sled gauge, or it will code out and need the clear code flash done to fix it anyway. There was a warning on this many years ago from TD back when they found out the hard way on this.

Country cat sells one but was out of stock last month. Think it was 6 ft. long and under 25.00

I would like the hood extension for a couple reasons at least.
-where I mounted my adjustable FPR, having the hood off makes it way easier to see and adjust
-being able to run the engine with the hood off makes it way easier to check for exhaust leaks
-leaning the hood up against the sled to be able to connect and run the engine can be cumbersome.
