Here's some pics of my Wildchild steering relocation kit installed $195CAN plus $22CAN shipping. To bad it's spring here now and I'll have to wait until next year to try it out. Still need to finish up some of the cosmetics but the bulk of the work is done. The wire hanging in the 3rd picture is the ground for my helmet visor heater. The sled is flithy from the last ride of the season.
Next M7 maybe? I seen an M5 141 skid on eBay is it the same?

That riser is gonna nail your gauges! It looks like about 1/4" clearance. You have to put that gauge as low as you can in that old hole. It's too high.

Ya I noticed that after I took the pictures. I'll have to move it, I've got all summer.

Is there enough clearance without the bars hitting the windshield???
That is my concern...I need a windshield. The wife rides the sled when we ride together and the last thing I want to hear is more bitchin!!
Go to arcticcat.com and go to the parts catalogue. Check to see if M5 and M7 part numbers are the same. Check the components (a-arms, etc). If they match, you are good to go!

I have a short windshield on I picked it up cheap. With the 2" riser there is enough clearance but with the stock windshield I think you would have to trim it a little. The bars feel like that's where they should have been all along. I'm looking at an Apex seat for extra seat height. I'm going to install some Powermadd handguards and that should help with the wind.

By the way, that looks really good!!! The side profile makes me want that set up!
What's another couple of hundred bucks? (on top of the other couple of hundred, on top of the other couple of hundred and so on and so on..)

That kit works great love mine .
The only problem I had was the steering stops can go over centre I made a stop that is at the same angel as the steering post so it cant slide over the stop. takes a bit to have it done properly but makes for a saver ride, mine locked over centre and gave me a god wipe out.

I will try to take some pics this weekend with all the mods, check back with me before you put it on and I send you some pics.
Not sure how well they will work as it is hard to see once installed.
cheers......

We just installed three Wildchild kits last night and can't wait to ride them this week at Arctic MAN. one on an 03 rX1 and two on 05 vectors. Just a note if you need your kits quickly make sure you UPS them as the Canadian postal service takes forever to get thru customs. Kurt sent promptly but took over three weeks for shipping. Very nice quality and bolts right in.

Hi akexpress Keep an eye out for a red RX1 turbo with a red toolbox on the back, we will be there. Just about to jump in the truck for the drive up.

Just returned from 4 days of riding at Arctic Man. We have three sleds with Wildchild rider forward option installed. They are truely different sleds to ride this way all for the better. As someone mentioned above on this thread the steering can go beyond the stops with this kit. It happened on one of them at a fairly slow speed so not damage or wipe out but it could be a big problem at speed. We will use the summer to figure out a way to prevent this with either a angle stop or something. If any one develops an easy solution please PM me.

Mine did the same thing. I spoke with Kurt aka Wildchild and he is looking into it.

Hey guys just got mine today and want to install. Not understanding what "past the stops" means - more details please!

On your steering post about a third of the way from the top there is a piece of metal with an angle cut on both sides. This is designed to hit the steering stop plate on your delta box. With the wildchild mod the stop plate mounts on the opposite side of stock position. Your steering post stops (piece of metal angle cut) should contact the stop plate and stop. Mine went past when turning to the left.
Hope this helps.
