Winder crashed

That is not a Hans device but should help as a neck support. I have never actually seen a snowmobile helmet that was Hans compatible. Do they even make one?

Ya, it's not actually a HANS device, but a neck support. I started wearing it after i had my neck fused.
There are straps that hook to racing helmets or to a vest.
It's not just a foam donut. It's shaped to allow natural rotation of head in helmet.

This is the back of my vest. I crashed my bike wearing nothing but this vest on the street. (i was wearing underwear so no wise cracks)
It breathes well so i don't sweat & i don't even know i'm wearing it.

Just remember, nobody ever got hurt MORE from wearing a vest!View attachment 139693
It might make me look fat.

LMAO...actually, awesome looking.....looks like standard gear for Stargate Teams on off world snowmobiling adventures!

LoL! The valve did work! The sled did shut itself down also. It rolled and came to rest on the right side. Funny you asked it was one thing I wondered about when I saw it on its side.
We tend to worry more about our sleds, than ourselves. It's a disease!!
When I barrel rolled my rx1, and was pinned underneath, my main concern was to get it back upright and get it running! Brand new, 2003, first 4 stroke. My boot was sucked off in the process, so once I slithered out from underneath, and hopped to get my boot, the adrenaline kicked in and I got it back upright, dash parts, kill switch, windshield all broke, but got her fired up! Riding friend finally came back for me, but I was ready to go. Leg was burning (pain) pretty bad, but no sense looking at it, as I was only 7 or so miles from home....it turned black from my knee to my foot from bruising, work sent me home the next day as they were afraid of blood clots..doc said it'll get reabsorbed.....it eventually went away and there's just a small dent in my shin...lol....my Yamadent!

Yeah, I'm the other one. I'll likely find out today, but pretty sure the sled is totaled. Bad luck, was riding in Munising, didn't see a 12" dip in the trail coming (I was second in the line) so was sitting down, guessing I was going about 45 mph, hit a ~12" dip in the trail, then a small whoop from the dip, and 1 smaller bump immediately after, by the third bump it was like riding a mechanical bull and it sent me to the left and the sled to the right. Soupy was riding behind me, didn't really see it happen but I guess he saw the sled barrel roll. I smacked the back of my head pretty hard on the hard ice/snow - took me a few mins to get my whits back, self-diagnosed mild concussion but pupils weren't dilated so didn't go to the hospital. It's been a week and other than the blood, sweat and tears I have in that sled and a few bruises and soreness I'm ok.
Also glad you're here to post about it. Late season riding can be hazardous!
I know I tend to push it to burn off the gas, if I think it's the last ride...plus all summer to fix stuff....not the smartest thing I do...almost hit a rock two days ago after a pretty damage free season...they are now PARKED.

Ha! Couple years ago i was standing up driving across the field taking in the scenery around me & hit a terrace. I did a superman air, my right shin slammed down onto my tunnel, i was still holding onto the bars watching my track spin around 3" from my face being drug on the ground when I decided it would be a good idea to let go of the sled!
I also have a permanent Yamadent in my shin!

It's a badge of honor!
Probably were thinking 'that's gonna leave a mark'!
My son has one too when he slammed into the rear of the sidewinder bumper, earning a trip to the er...dented, not broken!

It's official, AAA totaled my sled. As much of myself as I had in that sled, I'm afraid it would never be the same given up how badly twisted it was. Thanks to @DranttelSS (Nick) for the help in getting all my aftermarket parts off.

The leftover '17 and '18's are going FAST! There were a bunch available last week, as of this week I was only able to find a couple blue/white ones (color I want) in the entire State of MN. I was pretty sure I was going to be driving 12-14 hours roundtrip to get one, but found one of the very last blue and white SW's in MN and got a good deal - '18 LTX SE . I'll pick it up the week of the 9th when I get back from a family vacation and the work starts all over to make it mine.

Yep my IA riding days are over! It about killed me once and I won't try for another chance. I used to have an older ditch banging sled but I still would have been hurt so time to stop. I usually ride in the UP or northern WI on marked trails. Just too many hidden items around here. Im in Anamosa by the way , my accident was right on 151.
Wow, only ten miles apart and we meet on TY! Was your accident between Anamosa and Hwy 1? That is part of the trail system of our club (Jones County SnowChasers). If something wasn't marked, please let me know so we can make damn sure it is marked next season. You are more than welcome to join the club as well.

Loved the color scheme on the se, and it works great with the standard shocks too!

So glad your all OK I know some injured but not dead or paralyzed. I have several patients I care for who are lifetime paralyzed from sled accidents.
I have a fear of off trail because of the hidden obstacles, thankfully when younger just some trailing arms and 1 subframe. Now I am nearly 100% on trails for this reason.
In Mn and surrounding states we never have deep enough snow to be confident of being above the obstacles, usually just deep enough to not see them at speed. Like Mr Sled stated on trail the other idiots are the risk. It’s rare for those trees to move into your way but I have heard it does happen.

Be safe guys

It'll get a custom wrap from Blown Concepts anyway - but yeah, I do like having the white hood to start with. As for the shocks, thankfully my Axis shocks came out of it all just fine, so I'll swap those over. Lots to do this Summer.

That's why I have a sawmill. Turning hazardous trees into useable lumber. Revenge, thy name is 2 x 6!!

It was between Highway 1 and Springville on the south side. I live behind Scooters , would love to join the club! We moved here about 2 years ago from Marion.

My ego was/is so bruised I didn't want to talk about it at first. My buddy leading had a go pro and sent me the file as he turned around and came back to me lying on the ground and the sled on its side. I don't have the stomach to watch the whole thing.

The sled is at a Dranttel's and Nick did a very thorough job estimating the repair and helped me by removing some of the remaining after-market parts I didn't have time to take off. The tunnel is twisted bad, bent steering post, handlebars are basically gone, hood is destroyed and one ski is out further than the other with no obvious reason why, so I'm expecting to hear today or tomorrow that insurance will total it. I can't find a left over RTX but there are a few good deals on LTX's so I'll likely be starting over with a 137".

Excell Motorsports had a 50th 129 less than 2 weeks ago, FYI
