crashed my 2017 LTX-LE sidewinder today

Wow,went up to dealers today to check things out,and the bulkhead is split wide open where shock mount is,where you bolt the upper shock into the ears off the bulkhead. So yes it absolutely needs a bulkhead, and maybe lower support, and shock, both A-arms and steering link/bar,the swaybar looks ok,but until things have been taken off, wont be sure of anything. The right side panel will be ok,after some glue, lol, but the belleypan, wont be so lucky, and most plastic pieces that surround the front of sled.

OH I ment to ask, where in heck is the ECU on this beast? Dealer and I both were poking around and we could not see it,on my cat turbo,it was in harms way, right on top of belt blowing guard!!!

Where did you buy the machine? I heard someone else has the same issue, wondering if it was you?

left hand side while sitting on sled.. up front.. Held in by a wide thick rubber band >so to speak.. I put some Velcro on the back side of mine. Not needed probably ...

Steve still waiting on Yamaha,to make a decision one way orthe other,i drove up there yesterday to see for my self just how bad things were, they don't look good, but it is fixable, the bottom section of shock could be removed alright I think, the upper half not so easy,as the front of the bulkhead has buried the bolt, you can barley see one end of it,and I wont be able to remove it,until I get word, and bring it down state where my buddy and I will start removing stuff. Thanks for offering to do this, but I just need some closure from Yamaha.

Happy Holidays steve,Merry Christmas to you and your family, despite my misfortune with my broke sled,i still have a lot to be grateful about, one is the reason we are here on planet earth my Lord Jesus Christ, and the main reason we have Christmas, but also great friends like you steve and so many others I have enjoyed to call a friend,i have meet in similar forums much like this one,so just wanted to thank you for your thoughtful and sincere offering, and as soon as I have my sled back in my hands,i will have them shocks to you. Pete

Well said

Glad you are still here with us. A friend died on the table a few years back as his heart stopped from blocked arteries and 50 unknown heart attacks (thought it was heartburn), and came back as they managed to get a Stent in and get some blood flow, but he was gone for a while., He did NOT want to come back after what he saw and the purest love felt from God...yes he is a believer, but now, how can I keep up with him? He knows the other side so nothing to fear!! yikes! Keep smiling, this too will pass for you.

You are so welcome for any hindsight I have,if I can add some of my misfortune on here,so someone else does not have to make my mistake twice, well that's worth it,and to have so many friends I have never meet, care so much about another downed sledder, well I guess Or Lord jesus must be watching over us Yamaha nuts and all sledders for that matter as we speak lol. So I sure hope your Christmas was blessed as much as mine was,and happy New years to all!!
