yamaha will have billets as a accesory next year, nicely priced too.
I saw the new wheels athe Novi sneak peek. From the looks of the one they look good and look alot stronger then some of the aftermarket ones. The yamaha look like the are 3/8" billet w/ bearing installed and the outer edge has rubber on it. The wheels have the Yamaha tuning forks machined in it. From the prices on the rack they look will cost about $60-$85. There was maybe 3-4 different sizes.
I just ordered my new xtx last saturday and saw the wheels at the show and I will be getting a set for the rear bogie wheels

Do you know if they will be selling an offset axle as well?
I do not know. All Yamaha had was the wheels at the sneak peek.

were the wheels 8 inch or 9?
They looked like they may have been 7" - 8" dia wheels

Pros: None92vwgti said:what are the pros and cons?
Cons: reduced track/tunnel clearance causing the track to rub FORCEFULLY on the tunnel when you bottom out.

I was always told the larger the wheels he less rolling resistance and the more top speed you get.
Looks is the biggest improvement. I would be worried about getting billet wheels for a ditch banger though. Plastic bends back better then Alloy.

Nope. Not on that scale. Would have to be a MUCH tighter bend in order to lose anything.I was always told the larger the wheels he less rolling resistance and the more top speed you get.

they are a huge benefit on the M10 to get back top end.

Yes it is true that larger rear wheels produce less rolling resistance and improved top speed. Larger idlers will also produce less friction and improve top speed. Installing old 7.5" srx wheels on proaction yamaha's is a great way to gain some top end if you do a lot of speed running. These new billets from Yamaha will have a similar effect.

The factory race sleds ran them so they must be strong

So can we get these in a size that'll help the slider wear?
