So I went riding with 2 Doos yesterday and all I heard was what a piece of crap my Yamaha is. Funny that both Doos broke down, one due to clutch failure and the other one's starter failed. There was no way either would let me tow the XP so he limped it out and burned up the belt. Yamaha's are junk though, right? Makes me laugh.

Those poor doo folks leave in a fantasy world(over at dootalk they wonder why turbo yamahas don,t blow belts while the xp chassis sleds eat belts).
Funny how that works, but the other riders of the broken down sleds dont see it...

It is the SAME way when you discuss Windows and Macintosh. People just get soooo brand loyal that can't see through the fog.

I am the only one of all the people that I ride with who has a Yamaha and I'm one of the few whose sled has never broke down on the trail. Latest casualty was two weeks ago when a friend's Doo brake caliper seized up and it caught fire on the trail. Took ten minutes to get the fire out and by then it was a write off. As soon as he got the cheque he went out and bought another brand new one (well, a new 2009)- seems they are disposable.

This is my first year riding a Yammi (never even been on a 4 stroke), I like it.
My Wife still rides an Arctic Cat ('04 Z570 with only 1700 miles on it). I still have a place for it even though it's 2 stroke, dependable as hell and great power for a fan cooled sled. It's never been beat on and is her baby, probally never sell it- she don't let me ride it often either.
They all have problems though for what we put them thru....
