Cobalt said:Well rock I have been following this thread since day one and after riding 620 miles this past weekend in the cold Eastern U.P. and freezing my hands to death on my NEW 09 Ltx GT I give!
I actually have talked to my dealer about this for some time and when I stopped in today he said he is going to sell them!
I think he ordered my set for me today from you!

Hi Shawn,
Our shipment arrived this afternoon. We got your order packed and sent out today VIA Canada post. It likely did not make the truck from the post office today, but you should still see it Thursday of Friday.
Cheers,
Doug

Tested out my Yamaheaters the other day and they are definitely an improvement from the stock warmers. One question tho: The temp outside was about -3 nothing crazy but i found i had to keep the Yamaheater on (red led on) the entire time or my hands would start to get cold again. I believe I read somewhere in this thread that you would only need to turn the Yamaheater on until the bars were warm enough than you could go back to using the stock warmer as they should hold that burst of heat from the yamaheater.
So is it safe to ride with the yamaheater on the entire day?
The bars were pretty toasty on the hands with no gloves but with gloves on they were comfortable.

That is about right, in sub-zero temps have left mine on high.
Usually about -10F or below.
(Wear Claw Gloves, they are pretty warm!)
Leaving them on High won't hurt a thing.

Cobalt: How did you like the LTX GT? Any problems with bottoming out?
Are you running studs or not? Thanks.

Rock,
Thank you for preventing future arthritis in my hands. They officially work in Winterpeg, Manitoba, so they will work anywhere. I still recommend Skinz hand guards with this solution if you ride in stupid a$$ cold temps like up here. You truly cant put a price on warm hands.
Paul.

Code 81 on my 08 Nytro
Today when I was riding I got a code 81 while I was running on a pretty crappy mogul trail. Could something have shook loose?
The grip were very warm so, dumb question, if the warmers get too hot can they cause a Code 81?
I let the sled sit off for like 3 minutes and when I started it back up, the code was gone.
When I installed the Yamaheater I routed things pretty good, can't think of anywhere there could be a short but, tomm I'll have to check it out.

Hi Zeke!
Usually you will only get a code when there is a loose connection (Usually yellow wire), or possibly when the sled is cold like when first started in the morning.
(The ECU output is very erratic when the sled is cold.)
From your conditions, would bet on a loose connection.
(Could have been a fluke also, I got one once & never again, go figure. Think it was the G forces on the power control relay that temporarily opened the contacts.)
Code 81 is a minor code that clears automatically by shutting off & re-starting the sled.
Your grips being warm would not cause it.
Hope this helps, and if you need any additional help, just PM me your number, will call you asap!

Thanks man. Ya, plan is to check the connections tomorrow morning. Kinda figure it has to be that, it happened on a pretty snotty trail. Lots of bumps and woops.

I know Rock had your package in the mail the next day sometimes the same day the payment cleared .
I would give it more time the post office is swamped right now trying to get all the Xmas gifts delivered.
I use a rule of thumb 5 days to get package (Non Holiday) and 7 days if there is a holiday with in a couple weeks just for good measure.

Hi Rick!
Definitly was sent to you!
As Jake mentioned the post office has been noticably slower this week, they usually take 2-3 days in the US, has been up to 5 days over the last week or so.
(Their tracking sux BTW, They will update when it's delivered. )
Would bet on the next day or so.
Rock : )
PS If anyone has questions on tracking etc, PM or email me with your real name, makes it MUCH easier to find you on my end. Tnx!
