Re: 07 Apex GT
The guys here can answer your question.
A good test is also to start your sled & let it run in the garage with the grips on High.
If after 4-5 minutes the grips are not warm, they definitely won't be warm in the cold!
(They should get pretty hot in the garage.)
Hope this helps!
Big Ron said:I've been reading a lot about these grips and they seem like a great idea. My question is to riders, are the stock heaters on the 07's any good or is this a necessary upgrade? If it is, I might better grap the remote starter while I'm at it is my thinking...what a few hundred more $$$ right? LOL

Re: 07 Apex GT
Trust me Ron, you need this. Until I put one on my sled last year my hands would freeze until the riding got aggressive. The first day with them on I had a big smile and warm fingers. Now I turn them on while the sled is warming then use the stock settings after I warm up. I just bought the plug and play for my wife's Vector, easy install.

Flipper said:Just installed mine with the plug and play kit into my 08 Vector GT. Install was very simple. Bars warmed up very quick on the stand while I was running the sled.
I am looking forward to trying them on the snow.
Thanks Rock.

Totally understand nb!
Kevin will take good care of you, he is great at Customer Service.
You will like being Warm!
Your friends will be jealous of ya! lol
A rider drove 2-1/2 hours today to Dougs in Ontario to get his YamaHeater so he could have Warm Hands this weekend!
Early on, when Mr Sled was about the only one with a YamaHeater on one of the TY rides, everyone wanted to ride his sled!
Gotta like that!

It doesn't matter which side actually, as both connectors are the same. (Yellow/Red & Black wires)
The controller only needs one of the connectors as input.
Glad your grips are nice & toasty!
Wait until you ride it!

Rock,
Man, you are AWESOME!!!!! Thanks for the quick call-back. Thirty seconds and problem solved!
Really enjoyed the rest of our conversation!!! I just can't believe how warm (HOT) these bars get with the addition of your Yamaheaters! I'm so excited to ride without having to worry about frostbite fingers. Thanks for all you do Rock! It truly is priceless!!!!!!
