Otter, if you have any pictures, please share. I can always move this if I don't like it. Rock was looking for help as he has been getting some calls as to where to mount on the Phazers. I actually got the idea for this location from a guy named Gary or 08Nytro on TY. Nice Guy!

Hi Guys!

There is an awesome mounting location on the Phazers that doesn't require any fabrication.
Am currently writing and posting detailed Install directions with Pics for the Phazer here:

Please PM me with your suggestions and pics!

You know I drove Acrtic Cats up until March last year and always had reasonably toasty hands and thumbs. I bought a new Apex in late February/March 2009 and only drove it when it was about -5 to -10c and didnt notice the severity of how bad this could get. I just heard about the nightmares my buddy was experiencing and he told me that he was going to put a set on his Nytro this season. So we ordered two sets of the Yamaheaters for our sleds and they should be here shortly.

I also just bought a Rage for my son a few weeks ago but geeze, it sounds like after reading these threads that you guys are experiencing some serious issues. I'm thinking I should order a set for my sons Rage. Do they really get that cold?

Thoughts?

The Rages vary widely, some are Warm, others are cold as a deep freeze.

Try letting it idle with the warmers on high for about 4 or 5 minutes, if they don't get Warm, neither will his hands.

Frostbit my fingers on my Arctic Cat, the warmers worked, sometimes Really good, but only when they "felt like it".

Guess having to add a Warm Hands Controller is a small price to pay for a motor that stays running... lol

TTT so I can find it again to order mine tomorrow.

Rockmeister, I am assuming the Apex version works for the Apex Mtn. 06'?

Looking forward to warm hands.

Thxs.

The factory grip heaters on my Rage were not too bad. The worst is when you stop on the trail. Some times it would take forever for my hands to warm up and I am using Klim gloves. Not cheap. I bought the Yamaheater as I planned to add a 6" riser to my bars and get them up and over the windshield. I would not attemped this I did not have the Yamaheater. G.B.

Guys,

If any of you are "sitting on the fence" regarding this upgrade and are concerned about the effectiveness of this device or about customer support, I can tell you first hand that this device works as advertised and Rock's customer service is second to none!

Hey Rock,

Just ordered two units (08 Apex and 09 Nytro) from your website. I hope the install is as easy as your ordering process. Looking forward to riding with warm hands this winter. Thanks. ;)!
