Im in the same boat. I have my 06 apex gt and my 09 nytro.I ride them for different reasons and different trails. When i decide i want to go old school i can jump on my 98 srx which just 26000 miles last year. Never repladed the pistons.That why i ride Yamaha.

boost without heater Can you use this boost without a yamahaheater on it? I have a yamahaheater on my nytro and could use more juice but my apex only needs a little more than stock.Stock they are as hot as my nytros with the yamahaheater on it.Thanks Shane

They are both basicly the same thing.If you have good continuity through both lines with little resistance the shield is good.Shane

Sounds like your caliper is stuck.You need to remove it,push out the pucks remove the o-rings and clean out the corrosion that is built up in the caliper.Shane

The rust is showing sighs of pits so any cleaning you do will come in time.Shane

dealer Take your sled into the dealer asap.If its still under warranty you should have it looked at before the snow flies.It will take yamaha a while to get your sled fixed.Shane

gears If your have reverse on your sled it could be the gears banging around.there is some slop between the cogs of the gears in the chaincase making them bang around when you lock/unlock the brakes.As far as I know ther is no fix for it.Shane
