1st asphalt race from us at Thunder Products Clutching

As most of you know, Tim Hank (Shagman) and I (NOS-PRO) race asphalt during the summer months with the same exact sleds we trail ride. Some of our testing comes from time on the track to check back-shift, belt longevity, performance and that eliminating that dreaded belt dust and belt blowing...

    SIDEWINDER UPPER GEAR FAILURE; AGAIN!

I will chime in as I just had mine apart to get switched over for racing asphalt. I run my tension very tight, more than the recommended and use Amsoil chaincase 100% synthetic.....no issues. This is on my winder that has been flashed at 265 horse at 10 miles on it. (10 miles was from clutch...

    TAPP primary

@Pro-4 Performance Mark would be the best to ask as he is the one who makes them. Just answering questions here about the Pro-4, but don't want this thread to go off-track from the TAPP primary clutch.

    TAPP primary

Pro-4 has 3 arm, 4 arm and 6 arm. The 3 arm clutches have been tested and proven on the winders. I am still running the prototype on my sled and everything is great.

    Sidewinder Clutch Replacement ?

Currently not running the button secondary, but would run the TP orange spring and a 40/46 reverse angle helix. PF - Yes, I was referring to the previous Yamaha primary clutch, but I have heard the button style secondary takes a lot of problems away. I am still using the SW roller secondary...

    2021 Release?

Yup, I was just thinking the triple cylinder with the 3 separate heads like the SRX, but the single pipe like the SXR to fit a narrow chassis :)

    Sidewinder Clutch Replacement ?

Replaced the stock SW clutch with the previous style Yamaha clutch (Viper) and all clutch/belt issues are gone. And I play hard

    Best helix setup?

The 3-3 was too much wrap for the orange secondary spring

Thunder Products 911 Billet Primary Cover (Tested to 12,000rpm)

Brian, Whoever said to adjust the belt adjuster before torquing the main bolt.....is wrong. Here is why.... If you adjust the dial for the belt to sheave clearance "before" you torque the main bolt, the dial may or will be in too far causing the aluminum dial to strip the threads. This will...
